Klaatu48, I rarely comment for a few reasons. I only ever comment when I have something specific to say about a story, otherwise I just “like” it. I know we can all be very self-conscious when we put ourselves out there, so I could see it becoming another stat to obsess over.

But then there are times when the comments become a whole discussion that one might be interested in, so being able to see if there are new ones is relevant. Admin added the (somewhat under utilized) forum because of a discussion in comments.
