I have read parts of the start of something new series. Although I find ensemble stories aren’t really my thing because I struggle to be interested in more than a few characters at a time.

I can definitely see the similarities between it and the dorm idea but I was imaging it more as having one pov character and most the girls being very minor side characters. Whereas the start of something new series has quite a bit of characterisation for all the girls which makes each of the haircuts more personal but I presume takes much more effort to write.

The women’s football team idea is quite a bit different in that the cuts would be forced by the manager rather than convinced over time. This idea was inspired by some of the hairapparent stories where there’s almost a production line of ponytails that have been cut off.
