A couple of months have passed by, Vanessa has been busy with life and has not got the time to think about her hair. Her hair has grown past her shoulders and is halfway across her back.
She has recently gotten a little time for herself, and decides to get a haircut. She has grown bored with her hair and wants something fresh. Vanessa makes an appointment with Destiny, and she waits with bated breath.
She is split as to how short she wants to go, Destiny’s bob seems very alluring. But she thinks that would be too extreme. A simple trim is not gonna do the trick as well, she wants something that is the perfect middle ground. She ponders over the topic for a few, but then leaves it be and thinks maybe this is a conversation that could use the guidance and expertise of Destiny.
It’s time for the haircut, as Vanessa walks in to the salon, having her hair tied in a ponytail that falls just below her shoulders. Vanessa however cannot spot Destiny.
“Hey Destiny, Vanessa here.” She calls out in the hopes for finding her.
“Will be out in a minute, please take a seat hon.” Destiny shouts from somewhere in the salon.
Vanessa makes her way to the seat and sits, she caresses her hair and plays with her ponytail. After a few seconds she opens up her phone and browses through it.
“Hey hon, how are you doing?” Destiny says as she walks towards the chair with a big smile.
Vanessa turns her head and is just about to greet herself, but something immediately catches her eye. It is Destiny’s hair. It has changed quite a fair bit from last time.
Vanessa who had always seen Destiny with an A-Line bob, which was longer in the front all the way till her shoulders and substantially shorter in the back.
Had her hair cut super short, it was still an A-Line bob but way shorter. The longest part of her was barely touching her lips, and it only went shorter and shorter in the back.
“Wow.” Is all Vanessa could mutter.
“Oh yeah got it cut just last week.” As Destiny models her haircut for Vanessa she showcases her hair from all angles.
The haircut is quite precise, and appears quite extreme. However, it looks stunning on Destiny. The back appears to be clippered and has been stacked.
“It looks amazing.” Vanessa says in awe. “It’s so short though.” She finishes her thought.
“Thank you so much! You have seen Amelie right?” Destiny asks as she stands over Vanessa’s chair and they talk through the mirror.
“No I have not.” Vanessa replies.
“Wait, I will show you.” As Destiny reaches for her phone and fiddles with it for a little bit. Then hands it over to Vanessa.

“”Oh damn, she looks cute too.” Vanessa says softly, still looking baffled by the haircut and how does it look that good on Destiny.
Meanwhile, Destiny has started playing with Vanessa’s hair and her ponytail. Vanessa hands the phone back as she says, “It looks so good on you.” Destiny thanks her as she pockets the phone.
“So what can I do for you today hon.” Destiny asks her while still playing with her hair.
After thinking for a few seconds Vanessa replies, “I want something different, obviously I don’t have it in me to pull a haircut like yours. But something like that is the idea.”
Destiny starts brainstorming as she lets Vanessa’s hair loose and it falls down in cascades past her shoulders and almost to her waist. “Okay, so how short are you willing to go? We can then go from there. Are we thinking shoulder-length, something like last time or shorter.”
“Shorter.” Vanessa instantaneously responds. “I kinda liked your previous haircut, but what do you think would that suit me? So something like this?” She adds on as she shows a reference picture on her phone to Destiny.

“Yeah, I think it would look great on you. What would you want to in the back?” Destiny replies as looks at Vanessa through the mirror.
“As in?” Vanessa appears confused.
“Okay, so like my back was clippered, do you want yours like that-“ As Destiny explains, Vanessa understands what she meant.
“No no, I think the normal way. Scissors or whatever.” As she laughs.
“Sure, clippers do be sounding scary”. Destiny responds with a wide smile. She lets go of her hair and goes to get her instruments and cape.
She shortly comes back and capes Vanessa. Flings her hair and again, the contrast can be easily seen between her jet black hair and the white cape.
Destiny begins combing Vanessa’s hair, she shortly then sprays water on it and once it is fully wet. She starts seperating her hair into sections.
Once her hair has been seperated into sections, Destiny reaches for the scissors. She combs the section which has her hair at the back, and then slowly brings the scissors-
“Hon could you lean a little forward.” Destiny requests softly. Vanessa obliges.
With her head leaned forward, she combs it out once again and then brings the scissors and starts cutting quickly. With each snip her wet hair falls in clumps to the ground. The back section has been cut to her chin length, but it looks like Destiny still has work to do.
She work her way through to the front sections and for the first time Vanessa can see it with her eyes how short it is being cut. The front sections are also combed again, but they are cut much longer, above her shoulder’s. But the clumps fall on the cape, and Vanessa can see her haircut’s progress as more and more clumps start falling on the cape.
Destiny works for a couple of minutes more and then walks away. Vanessa looks up and her appears to be quite short, but because it is wet, it appears a mess.
Destiny shortly returns with a hairdryer and begins drying her hair. She is styling it meticulously with each pass of the dryer and a more pronounced shape is beginning to take place. Once it has been dried off, Destiny again walks off.
Vanessa can now see her haircut, it is exactly like Destiny’s old haircut but a tad bit longer and very much like the reference photo. Longer in the front and short in the back. She twirls her head around and is fascinated by how short it is, and how the back is even shorter.
Destiny returns with clipper and immediately tries to reason with Vanessa, “Just to clean up lol, don’t worry”
She begins cleaning up Vanessa’s nape and Vanessa shivers with each pass. She didn’t know clippers felt like that. After a few passes she is all done and the haircut is finished.

“Thank you so much Destiny, you are a magician.” Vanessa responds with a big smile, as she gets up and adores her haircut. She looks down on the floor and all her wet hair is there.
“All good hon, glad you love it.” Destiny replies as she begins cleaning up the hair.
Vanessa walks over and gives her a hug and then walks out of the salon a new person, with infinite confidence. She loves her new haircut and happy she has got someone like Destiny who makes her look this good.
