House Rules

The following are rules for use of this website covering appropriate conduct of users and content of stories. If you have any questions or need to report any breaches of these rules, please ask in the forums or contact either HSN Admin or the volunteer moderation team.

1. No inappropriate content including children or characters under the age of 18. Inappropriate content includes all forms of child abuse or erotic and sexual content involving a child in any way.
2. No harassment or abuse of anyone. This includes writers, commenters or individuals; through comments, direct messages, written stories, or forum posts.
3. No hate speech. This includes racism, homophobia, transphobia, and all other forms of hate speech. Stories may depict hate speech but may not encourage hate speech.
4. No plagiarism or stories written without proper credit given to the author and rights holders. Stories heavily inspired by other stories should credit the original work.
5. Proper content and trigger warnings are required in the tags or for more extreme content clearly stated at the start of the story. Warning that must be given include for;
   • gore/body horror. This includes tooth pulling and branding.
   • extreme tattooing, permanent hair removal, and other body modification.
   • depictions of death or murder.
   • sexual assault/harassment or conversation about sexual assault/harassment.
   • sexual content of any kind.
   • specific sexual content such as BDSM or S&M.
   • depictions of abuse and domestic violence.
   • harassment of characters including stalking.
   • depictions of hate speech, when not covered by rule 3.
   • depiction of specific criminal activity.
   • politics or current events.
   • manipulative and controlling behaviour.
   • Moderators will add warnings if they deem tags to be insufficient.
6. All posts must be stories and contain hair in some way. Stories can be about cutting, shaving, dying, styling, hair play, growing out, have descriptions of hair, or any other form of hair content. Hair does not have to be the main aspect of the story or in every part of a multi part story but it must be present.
7. Stories written with, or the assistants of, ai must be tagged as ai written. No unedited ai written stories should be uploaded.
8. Images must have permission to be used in a story. AI images are allowed but they are declared as such.
9. No advertising or publishing teasers to stories locked behind paywalls elsewhere. If you have any questions about external links please contact the moderation team for clarification.
10. All comments must be respectful. If a story violates any rules, raise this in the forums or a message to the moderation team. Do not message in the comments or directly message the author as moderators may not see these comments.
