I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked into the living room. My precious girls, Emma and Greta, were standing there with hair that looked like they had tangled with a wild beast. Large chunks of hair were cut off their glorious long hair, uneven lenghts, and there were even some bald spots on the top of the scalp. “What on earth happened here?” I exclaimed, my voice laced with shock and fury.
Trying my best to calm down, I wrecked my brain for a solution. My go-to salon was closed for renovations, leaving me feeling utterly desperate. But then, a glimmer of hope shone through the chaos. There, right across the street, was a barbershop. Maybe they could fix this hair disaster?
As we entered the barbershop, a friendly face greeted us. “Well, well, what do we have here? The mischievous hairstylists in training!” the barber joked, trying to lighten the mood. I couldn’t help but crack a small smile amidst my worry.
The barber examined my girls’ hair, inspecting the damage. He sighed and turned to me, shaking his head sympathetically. “Lady, I can’t work miracles, but I can offer a solution. The only way to fix this mess is to give them a buzz cut” he said, his tone tinged with regret.
My heart sank at the thought of my girls’ beautiful locks disappearing, but I couldn’t deny the reality of the situation. I sighed, resigned to the inevitable. “Alright, go ahead,” I reluctantly agreed, casting a sorrowful glance at Emma and Greta.
The barber gently guided Emma into the chair, his hands moving deftly. With a flick of the switch, the clippers buzzed to life, and the familiar hum filled the room. The sound seemed to resonate with my daughters, as they giggled and exchanged excited glances.
As the barber glided the clippers over Emma’s head, thick swaths of hair fell to the ground. She let out a squeal of delight, her eyes lighting up as she watched in awe. Greta followed suit, her excitement only intensifying. The barber made quick work of her hair, the clippers mowing through the chaos. Greta’s laughter filled the room, echoing Emma’s joy.
I couldn’t help but feel a bittersweet mix of relief and sadness. My girls, who were distraught just moments ago, were now beaming with newfound confidence. They loved their new bald look, and who was I to deny them that happiness?
With the headshave complete, I reached into my purse, ready to settle the bill. But the barber motioned for me to stop, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Consider this one on the house, dear. Your girls made my day with their laughter,” he said, a warmth in his voice.
Still processing the events, the barber turned his attention to me. “You should try a headshave too, you know. I have a feeling you’d look stunning,” he suggested with a cheeky grin.
I was taken aback by his proposition, not expecting such a bold statement. Flustered, I politely declined, not quite ready to embrace the razor myself. With a mix of relief and intrigue, I left the barbershop, my mind swirling with newfound and strange possibilities.
In the weeks that followed my initial visit to the barbershop, I couldn’t help but keep replaying the barber’s words in my mind. “You should try a headshave too, Marina. I’m sure you’d look amazing!” The proposition lingered in my thoughts, tempting me with its audacity. Yet, the idea of willingly parting with my precious locks sent shivers down my spine.
Surprisingly, Emma and Greta embraced their short hair with open arms. They adored their buzzed heads and felt liberated without the burden of hair. They even asked me if we could go back, this time for a headshave. The audacity of their request astonished me. How could they enjoy being buzzed, and now they want to be shaved bald? I tried to convince them otherwise, but their resolve remained unyielding.
“Girls, don’t you understand? Hair is a beautiful thing. It frames your face, it’s a part of your identity,” I pleaded, hoping to sway their decision. Emma and Greta exchanged mischievous glances, their eyes filled with determination.
After countless failed attempts to dissuade them, I made a reluctant decision. I would take them back to the same barbershop. Maybe the barber could talk some sense into them. Steeling myself for what lay ahead, I prepared the girls for another trip to the world of clippers and gleaming razors.
As we entered the barbershop, the familiar jingle of the door greeted our ears. The barber, a man with a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, recognised us immediately. “Ah, back again! Ready for another adventure?” he said, his voice dripping with playful sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes, trying to hide my own curiosity and hesitation. “They want a proper headshave this time,” I reluctantly admitted, gesturing towards the girls. Their innocent smiles said it all; they were excited about the prospect of a luxurious head massage and the ticklish sensation of shaving cream.
The barber rubbed his chin, considering their request. “A proper headshave, you say? Well then, let’s not disappoint these brave little ladies. Shaving cream and a safety razor it is!”
Panic surged through me, but the girls were ecstatic. Their enthusiasm infected me, despite my lingering reservations. What harm would it do? It was just hair, after all.
The barber motioned for Emma to take a seat, and she hopped onto the chair with glee. The cape was draped around her small frame, and she giggled as it engulfed her. The barber use a hair trimmer to take off the new growth to a mere stubble. Then the barber expertly prepared the shaving cream, applying it to her scalp with graceful strokes.
Greta, too impatient to wait her turn, bounced on her tiptoes. “My turn! My turn!” she chimed, urging the barber to work his magic.
I watched, with a mix of fascination and apprehension filling my heart. The way the barber skillfully shaved the girls’ heads amazed me, but the thought of feeling those clippers against my own scalp sent tremors of uncertainty through my very being.
As the razor passed over Emma’s bald head, her laughter filled the room. “It tickles, Mommy!” she exclaimed, causing me to chuckle in spite of myself.
Greta’s head was next, and she wiggled with anticipation. The sound of the clippers mixed with her excited squeals, making the atmosphere alive with energy.
Like her sister, the barber used the same process, finishing with precision, wiping away the excess foam from Greta’s head. They beamed up at me, their smooth scalps glinting in the light. I couldn’t help but feel a strange pang of envy.
Turning his attention to me, the barber asked with a playful tone, “And what about you, Marina? Have you changed your mind? Don’t tell me the girls are braver than their own mother!”
I hesitated, my mind warring with the curiosity that had plagued me since my last visit. The barber’s challenge hung in the air, taunting me with the prospect of transformation.
In the end, I mustered a small smile and shook my head. “Not today, but thank you for the offer,” I replied, disappointment and relief mingling in my voice.
I thanked the barber, slipping a generous tip into his waiting hand. The girls, their excitement barely contained, bounced out of the barbershop, their bald heads glistening under the sunlight.
Walking back to the car, I couldn’t help but feel a tinge of regret. Maybe I was missing out on something special. But for now, the baldness would remain their secret.
That same day, I couldn’t help but think that i made a grave mistake, that i should have accepted the barber’s invitation to his chair. I felt instant regret and started to make immediate plans, deciding to drop the girls to our next door neighbour, Amy, while i drove back to the barbershop.
I took a deep breath as I entered the barbershop, the bell above the door tinkling to announce my arrival.
“Welcome back, Marina!” the barber called out, his voice filled with genuine enthusiasm.
“Thank you,” I replied, my nerves fluttering like a caged bird in my chest.
Without having to ask me, why i was back so soon, the barber led me to the familiar chair, the black leather beckoning me to take a seat.
With a graceful flick of his wrist, he swirled the barber cape around me, wrapping me snugly like a cocoon. I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror, my long hair cascading down my back. I knew this would be the last time I would see it like this.
In one swift motion, the barber lifted his scissors, snipping off my ponytail with a resounding snip. My connection to my long locks severed, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness mixed with excitement.
Without pausing, the barber picked up the clippers, the metallic hum filling the air like a soft melody. The clippers skated across my scalp, their cold touch sending shivers down my spine. Chunk by chunk, my hair was reduced to a mere stubble, leaving me with a thrill I never expected to feel.
The vibrations of the clippers resonated deep within me, awakening a dormant desire even having a soft moan that cause an arousal i never had before. As the last remnants of my hair fell, the barber placed a steaming hot towel on my head, the warmth seeping into every pore.
With careful precision, the barber spread the shaving cream across my newly shorn scalp, his touch both delicate and firm. Taking hold of the straight razor, he began to meticulously shave away the remaining stubble, revealing smooth skin beneath.
As the razor glided across my scalp, my arousal was in overdrive. I started to get wet. Part of me was embarrassed that i was enjoying it, i shouldn’t be aroused by this but i couldnt help myself. part of me was trying to keep it together so the barber wouldn’t notice, having a women sexual arousal in his barbershop, what kind of freak does that.
When the final strokes were made and the razor set aside, the barber picked up a bottle of after lotion and applied it to my freshly shaven head. The cooling sensation made my scalp tingle with delight. As a finishing touch, the barber gently massaged some baby oil into my scalp, leaving it moisturized and glistening in the soft glow of the barbershop lights.
I turned to face the mirror once again, and there I was, a version of myself I had never seen before.
“Thank you,” I said, my voice filled with gratitude and a newfound confidence.
“It was my pleasure,” the barber replied, his smile warm and genuine.
I reached for my purse, ready to settle the bill for my unforgettable experience.
But the barber waved me off, insisting that it was on the house.
“Consider it a gift, i know you enjoyed it” he said looking at my wet pants with a smile “I will expect you next week for your touch up”.
I’m already counting down the days…
