Act I
Navya Kapoor had grown up in a traditional Indian family where marriage was never simply between two people—it was a union of families, expectations, and sometimes two strangers expected to fall in love afterwards. So, when her family announced that she had been arranged to marry Samar Singh, Navya knew she was in trouble.
Samar wasn’t simply wealthy. He belonged to one of those old, powerful families with untapped power. He was a prince in every sense of the word, as he was born into old money and privilege, someone who was commanding by nature and accustomed to getting exactly what he wanted.
And apparently, what he wanted was her. Navya, however, wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.
She had tried everything she could think of. She had argued and pleaded to no avail. She had even attempted the classic strategy of making herself as undesirable as possible during the formal meetings. But Samar remained infuriatingly calm, watching her little rebellions with an expression that suggested he found them amusing rather than discouraging.
Then, at last, Navya came up with an idea.
For years, her waist-length hair had been one of her most striking features—something she took pride in and something everyone else seemed determined to admire. Her relatives constantly praised it, and even Samar’s family, during their visits, had made several appreciative comments about how beautiful and traditional she looked with her long hair. Navya knew exactly how much importance families like theirs placed on appearances.
So, she decided to use that against them.
Fortunately, one of her closest friends worked as a hairstylist in Bollywood. With her help, Navya managed to get hold of a stunning custom-made wig cut into a sharp, sophisticated bob. The transformation was surprisingly convincing. All Navya had to do was slick her real hair tightly against her head with an excessive amount of gel, secure the wig firmly over it, and make sure not a single strand of her actual hair escaped.
The result was perfect.
And her plan seemed to work beautifully when the Roka (a traditional Indian engagement ceremony, where the two families formally announce and celebrate the couple’s marriage) was scheduled just two days later.
Without warning anyone, Navya made her entrance before both families, looking completely different. Her long, traditionally admired hair had apparently vanished, replaced by a sleek, blunt bob that framed her face sharply. To complete the transformation, she wore a lehenga considerably more daring than anything her family had ever seen her wear—so revealing that even Navya herself felt slightly self-conscious in it.
Chaos followed almost immediately. Her family looked horrified and furious. Across the room, Samar’s relatives exchanged uneasy, concerned glances. After all, they had come searching for a graceful, beautiful, traditionally raised daughter-in-law, and not someone who appeared so openly rebellious and determined to challenge every expectation placed upon her.
Navya knew she would have to endure her family’s anger afterwards, but it would be worth it. A little wrath was a small price to pay if it meant escaping a lifetime with the arrogant, condescending Samar Singh.
Judging by the reactions around her, Navya was almost certain the alliance was finished. The Roka would be cancelled, exactly as she had planned.
Then, suddenly, the whispers around her died. Navya’s gaze moved across the room until it found Samar. To her complete disbelief, he was smiling.
“Let’s exchange the rings,” he declared.
And in that single moment, every hope Navya had been holding onto crumbled. Not only did Samar refuse to call off the marriage, but before the evening was over, he did something even worse. He asked for the wedding to be moved forward.
Navya’s carefully constructed escape plan collapsed in a matter of minutes.
The wedding happened before she could come up with another plan. And now, on the night she became Samar Singh’s wife, Navya sat in their bedroom surrounded by flowers, jewellery, silk, and an overwhelming sense of defeat.
She took off that dupatta over her head, revealing the heavy bun. There was no point hiding it anymore. Surely, she was not going to wear a wig for her lifetime. And at this point, she did not care anymore.
When the door opened and her husband walked in, Navya could only sigh. Samar Singh was handsome in a severe, almost intimidating way—tall, broad-shouldered, and carrying the kind of commanding presence that made it difficult to look away. Under different circumstances, she might have considered herself extraordinarily lucky to have a husband like him. But the thought of being tied to a man like Samar came with one unbearable catch: her freedom would no longer be entirely her own.
His gaze lingered on her hair, the heavy bun adorned with flowers and a slow smile appeared on his face.
“Did you really think I’d call off the wedding for a haircut?”
Navya swallowed. “Well,” she said, forcing herself to meet his eyes, “I had to try.”
Samar laughed softly, almost appreciatively. “You did,” he said, crossing the room and stopping in front of her. He then produced a small, elegantly wrapped box.
“I have a wedding gift for you,” he said, surprising her.
Navya stared at it suspiciously. After everything that had happened, she wasn’t about to trust anything Samar Singh called a gift. She slowly pulled away the ribbon and opened the box.
The gift caught her breath, and she swallowed. She looked at it, and then at him. At this, Samar’s smile widened.
“Since you were willing to sacrifice your hair to escape me,” he said quietly, “I thought I should make sure you never have to worry about it again.”
Navya’s trembling fingers touched it. It was a hair clipper, Wahl’s, heavy against her lithe fingers.
For the first time that night, she realised something terrifying. She hadn’t married a man she could frighten away. She had married a man who could outplay her at her own game, and was clearly enjoying every second of it.
Act II
For the first time since the wedding had been arranged, Navya was truly frightened. Samar watched her expression change, and somehow that amused him even more.
“You wanted to manipulate me into cancelling the marriage,” he said. “Instead, you gave me an idea.”
Navya glanced at him. “What idea?”
He plucked the clippers from her hand. “You will let me cut your hair.”
“No freaking way.” She jumped off the bed. “Look, I admit it was stupid. Fine. I made a terrible decision. But no harm, no foul, right? Besides, your family certainly isn’t going to approve of this.”
“You let me worry about that, meri jaan (my love).”
Navya shook her head in defiance. “There’s no way I’d let you cut my hair. I’d scream!”
To this, Samar actually laughed and continued in an infuriatingly gentle voice.
“Well, if you’re refusing to let me cut your hair, then there’s only one option left—a barbershop.”
Navya’s jaw dropped.
“I could simply tell my family exactly what you’ve been plotting to sabotage this marriage. And since you’re my wife now, I’m responsible for dealing with your little rebellion. I doubt anyone would object if I took you to a barbershop and let everyone watch you face the consequences.”
He cocked his head to the side, and his smile turned faintly wicked. “Would you prefer that, meri jaan?”
Fuck, she knew he was right. Her family, and his, were old school. Staunch traditional families did not expect scheming bold women, and men, especially the husbands, enjoyed more power. And if Samar Singh wanted to make it happen, he would surely find a wicked way.
God, she hated him.
“Fine,” she whispered in a defeated voice. “Do whatever you want.”
With a faint smile, Samar crossed the room, took her hand, and led her into the spacious bathroom adjoining their bedroom. It was almost as lavish as the suite itself, bathed in warm, flattering light, with a wide mirror stretching above the marble washbasin. He positioned Navya in front of it, making sure she could see herself clearly.
For the moment, he set the clippers aside and reached for the pins securing her hair. One by one, he removed them, carefully undoing the flower garland woven through it until the last pin came free.
Her hair spilled down her back in a glossy, uninterrupted cascade as Samar stared. It was the longest, darkest, most beautiful mane of black hair he had ever seen, and for a moment, even he seemed to appreciate the sheer magnificence of it.
He met her eyes in the mirror and brought his lips to the shell of her ears. “Your hair is extraordinary, Mrs Samar Singh.”
The possessive weight of her new title sent an unexpected shiver through her. Fear tightened her stomach at the thought of giving him the control, yet beneath it ran a strange, disorienting thrill, and the anticipation of surrendering control and simply allowing him to decide what happened next.
“I think I should begin by unwrapping my beautiful bride,” he murmured.
He reached behind her and slowly loosened the ties of her blouse, one after another, until the delicate fabric came undone. His fingers then moved to the layers of her lehenga, easing it down until it pooled softly around her feet.
Navya stood before him in her lace-trimmed lingerie, suddenly conscious of every inch of herself.
Samar’s gaze lingered over her before his fingertips traced a slow, appreciative path along her collarbone, down her stomach, and finally paused at the delicate edge of her lingerie.
“Your beauty, every inch of you…I intend to keep it mine. No one else gets the privilege of seeing you like this,” he murmured, reaching for the drawer and revealing a pair of scissors.
In one swift movement, he slipped the blade beneath the fabric and cut through the bra, then did the same to her underwear, leaving the delicate pieces in tatters and Navya completely naked.
Her first instinct was to cover herself, but Samar was quicker. He caught her wrists and drew her arms behind her, holding her firmly against him. His free hand traced possessively over her bare skin, and he squeezed her breasts, eliciting a moan out of her, and then pinched her nipples.
Navya could feel the heat of his manhood against hers as she rubbed him. Samar groaned in response, and she took the opportunity to turn around and kiss him hard. Samar reciprocated with equal fervour. It left them both breathless.
“It’s our wedding night,” Navya panted. “Why are we wasting here?”
Samar threaded his fingers through her hair and gave a firm tug, making her look at him. His lips hovered tantalisingly close to hers. “As much as I love my beautiful wife, I’m going to punish this little devious plan of yours.”
Clearly, sex was not her weapon, Navya realised as he roughly turned her back around.
Samar gathered her long hair in one hand, giving it a firm tug before reaching for the brand-new Wahl clippers resting on the counter. The moment he switched them on, Navya nearly flinched at the sudden buzz. The sound changed the instant the blades met her hair, becoming harsher as they powered through the thick strands.
She was forced to watch, yet the movement of the clippers was almost impossible to follow. There was only the relentless buzzing, the sensation of her hair being pulled, and then the sudden release of its weight. Within seconds, the severed length came free in Samar’s hand. Navya stared at it, stunned.
A single, heavy tear slipped down her cheek as her trembling fingers reached for what remained. Her once waist-length hair had been reduced to a deliberately choppy bob, the uneven ends barely brushing her neck.
“Such beautiful hair, Mrs Singh. A shame you thought you could use it to outsmart me.”
He used the clippers again to tidy the ends and make it look as even as possible. And since he was no expert, of course, he clipped more length than necessary. The hair was combed again and again, trying to find the precision as he swapped the clippers for the scissors. Navya watched in complete defeat as the small snippets of hair were strewn all around her and over that embellished lehenga, some settling over her shoulders and between her breasts. Once he was done, her once magnificent mane had been reduced to an amateurish bob that barely reached her lips.
And she hated every inch of it.
He reached out and touched the newly shortened ends. “Still beautiful,” he murmured.
Navya looked at him through the mirror. She wasn’t sure whether that made things better or much, much worse. And what’s worse was the fact that the warmth of his touch against her skin, the quiet authority in his voice—all of it combined into something sensual and heady that she could neither understand nor dismiss.
Act III
“Are you done?” she asked in utter disgust.
“Well, we have another matter of a punishment for trying to manipulate me.”
Her stomach dropped. “What do you mean?”
“I know a lot of people appreciated this long hair,” he said, combing her hair with his fingers. “Even you thought you looked beautiful, and that your beauty is somehow attributed to the hair. It’s almost like your safety blanket.”
“Everyone looks beautiful with long hair,” she justified.
“And that’s where you are wrong,” he said. “You are my wife now, and you need to see how beautiful you are…even without the hair.”
Navya was terrified now. “Samar, you can’t…mean…”
His fingers slowly ensnared around her delicate neck, resting over it like a collar. It held her steady and in place while he picked up the clippers.
“No, Samar, please,” she begged. “You have already cut my hair. It’s short, it’s so short…it barely covers anything. Please, you can’t…”
“Jaan…” His whisper cut her off. “Put your head down,” he said in a firm tone.
Navya had never imagined herself as someone who needed control, someone who would fight until she won. Now she was discovering that there was another side of her, a submissive part she had never allowed herself to acknowledge, and surrendering control made her feel vulnerable in a way that was frighteningly thrilling. That realization left her shaken.
She closed her eyes and lowered her head, finally surrendering to the inevitable. The clippers roared to life, and Samar guided the first deliberate pass straight through the centre of her head. Dark strands tumbled around her as she watched helplessly in the mirror, the growing pile at her feet becoming larger with every stroke. Long locks slid down her body as the blades moved steadily from front to back, stripping away her hair and exposing the pale skin of her scalp.
Samar kept a firm hand around her neck, carefully turning her head from side to side as he worked. Pass after pass followed until even the back of her head was utterly bare. He had completely shorn his new bride bald, and the raging manhood between his legs was stiffer than ever.
Samar Singh had grown up believing that a woman’s beauty was closely tied to long hair and flawless, fair skin. Like many men raised with those traditional ideals, he had always been fascinated by the sight of a woman with a long, flowing mane. Over time, however, that fascination had evolved into something far more personal—a fetish he had never quite admitted to himself.
Of course, he had no intention of shaving his new bride bald on the wedding night, but when the idea presented itself, he took hold of it. And the gratification of stripping her bald was something he had never experienced.
A lesser man would have come in the pants.
When Samar finished, he ran his palm lightly over her head.
“Look up,” he ordered. “Look at yourself.”
She raised her head and was shocked. The woman in the mirror looked utterly different. She had thought the first haircut would be the worst part. She had been wrong. The bareheaded and strangely unfamiliar look made her feel vulnerable.
How the hell was she going to face the people now? Newlywed brides were meant to be beautiful, not ugly and bald.
She felt his fingers draw lazy circles over her head, along the curve of her occipital bone, around her ears, and somewhere along the lines it was both erotic and a shameful reminder of her shaved head.
“It looks magnificent, isn’t it? But I think you look even more beautiful knowing I’m the one who took it away,” he commented and reached for the drawer once again.
Navya barely had time to react before a cloud of lather was sprayed over her head. Instinctively, she flinched again, but her husband immediately held her firmly in place. With his free hand, he worked the foam through her hair before reaching for a safety razor.
Once again, he forced her head down, this time much lower, as the razor was put in action. The razor moved slowly, leaving each newly bared patch of skin startlingly smooth.
Navya shivered at the sensation, acutely aware of how carefully he handled her. When he finished each section, his fingertips followed, gliding over the skin as he checked for any trace of roughness. The deliberate touch made her breath catch, not from pain but from the strange intimacy of being examined so closely. He lingered for a moment before moving on, his touch slow and almost possessive, until every last patch had been carefully shaved and left impossibly smooth.
Samar bent down and placed a kiss over her gleaming dome. “So beautiful…”
Navya obviously did not agree. Agreeing to this extremity was beyond sanity, but she had already started to spiral down the rabbit hole when she realised that her naked body was pressed against his and that he had one of his hands between her legs, rubbing her folds, teasing her clit and making her whimper in strange pleasure.
Samar was incurably hard now. He wasted no time in bending her over the counter and taking her from behind, all the while her pussy clenched around his girth in utter, shameful lust. She could see her reflection on the mirror, of being taken like a bitch in heat after she had been so thoroughly and brutally shorn, like a toy who was meant to be dealt in a manner he deemed fit. He was fucking her raw, thrusting with rough moves amidst the ruins of her glorious hair, and if it weren’t enough to kick her submissive self, he seized her bald head to make her watch.
She was being hammered, completely at his mercy, and squirming in abject pleasure, and within moments, came apart screaming like a newlywed was meant to be ravaged.
It took Navya some time to fully comprehend her situation and come to terms with the reality of her predicament. The next morning, mercifully, he gave her the same wig to wear that she had worn to deceive him. To the world outside, she was a woman with chic, bobbed hair.
And to him, behind the locked doors where no one else could see, she was his bald wife.
Every night, he would bring her before the counter and work the lather into the faint stubble. Then, with patient precision, he would glide the razor over her head until every trace of hair was gone, leaving her scalp smooth and gleaming beneath the light.
Navya hated it in the beginning, protesting against it, only to have her mouth gagged and hands tied behind her back. And somehow, she craved being taken and tied naked and shorn against her will. She discovered an unsettling pleasure in surrendering herself to his control—to being bound, shaved, and claimed as the woman he cherished, his bald wife.
