AI Patreon Slop and monetization ban

It seems that things here are following the same type of enshittification as seens in so many other things. It started with the rash of AI generated slop, people posting GPT, Claude, or other LLM generated stories. And now it seems weve gone to the next logical step, monetization of AI slop.

Over the past few weeks there have been several authors posting AI stories, with AI images, and links to their patreon or other monetization networks.

I firmly believe that there should be no selling allowed on this site. If you want to write a story, write it. If you want to use this site to try farming followers and extracting money do it somewhere else.

Im interested to see what others think about banning monetizing stories on this site.

Honestly, I was under the impression it already was. I suppose these are getting around it by technically submitting “full stories”, with the additional pages of the comic-things being patreon locked.

Previously, when we had a similar issue I know authors were chased off-site for putting up story previews with the full thing being locked elsewhere.

I agree that as late, the entire front page is essentially just advertising space for these “AI artists.” Which is a shame.

So 2 months on and no response. And as expected more money hungry ai slop posters have descended on the board.

Seems like pretty much every story now either begins or ends with…..if you want to see more go to our patreon page.

So looks like this site has now joined the list of the many many others destroyed by AI slop and enshittification.
