anonymous userParticipantJust an FYI one of my stories appears to have been stolen shot though an ai slop machine and uploaded to youtube, I don’t know if they took it from here or my ao3 but I suggest any author to maybe check that Haircut story on youtube hasn’t ripped off any of your works. They have nearly 300 stories and based on there changes seem talentless so I think they have stolen more.

ModeratorThey’ve stolen others. They used to use them completely unchanged, and just add the AI voice over and animation, but now they seem to run them through some kind editing to change them enough to make copyright claims harder. Also possibly with the one they stole from me to remove the multiple detailed sex scenes that youtube won’t allow.

ParticipantThey stole two of my stories as well, just changing the names and locations, but copying everything else word for word. Their channel is also monetized so they are profiting off of stolen work.

ParticipantTook me about three minutes to find one of my own (“Don’t Be Impulsive,” though under a different title).
The fact that the narrator says “it took a asterisk bite asterisk of her hair” where I assume the text should have been bold is all you need to know about the level of care given.
The Internet really is doing all it can to crush people’s creative drives.

ParticipantYes, (at least) one of mine too. I think I will try reporting it to youtube as a copyright violation, though I don’t know whether it will be successful. I assume no-one else has any experience of this?

anonymous userParticipantUpdate. I emailed their “business email” telling them to take it down and they did.

ParticipantThat’s good. Would you mind sharing the email address and the wording of your email? Either in here or via PM, I don’t mind.
I looked at the copyright process, but Youtube want you to submit a physical address and phone number, which I’m reluctant to do.

ParticipantThanks. Did you mention copyright reporting, or was it just ‘this video is based on my story, please take it down’?

anonymous userParticipantI just said it contains stolen copyrighted material and to remove immediately, I also sent it a copyright report which might of notified and spoked them.
