ModeratorSo here are those ideas I mentioned a while back that I was hesitant mentioning because they seemed like a lot of work, but hey, maybe I’m wrong about that and they’d actually be super easy.
Favorite Author Lists:
If they could be part of peoples profiles, it could do 2 things. One, an organic way for people with similar tastes to find authors they like. The categories and tags already do this to a certain degree, but they rely on self reporting and are somewhat broad. Self reporting is dependent on opinion, for example does it count as forced if it’s just to keep a job? Or does it only cont as forced if the person is strapped down? Where exactly is the line, like is there a point at which to keep a job doesn’t count, like they just enjoy the job and it pays well, it’s not forced, but if they need the job to survive it counts as forced? Different people will draw these lines in different places. Author list aren’t a guarantee that every story will fit into ones personal taste, but it would be another way to sort.A favorite author’s list could also send out email notifications (I recommend as an opt in feature, not automatic) when an author on the list publishes a new story. I almost missed one of F35h’s recent stories. The only reason I didn’t was because when I saw chapter 3, I thought to go looking for chapter 2, because it seemed unlikely that he would publish chapter 3 before chapter 2.
Sharable/Viewable Story Lists that can be labelled:
Not so much a list of stories you casually just give a thumbs up because you enjoyed them in the moment, but specific curated lists. Thing like stories that you like to reread. Stories that fit a certain mood. Stories that are quick reads. Or ones that are long and you want to be easy to find over the days or weeks it takes to get through them.Letting users create there own lists categories. And they can made public if wanted so that others can see them and see a curated list of a category that doesn’t exist on the site.
Like a user might for example collect into a list only stories with happily-ever-afters for smooth shaved M/F couples.
(If this is the second time i posted this, sorry something went wrong the fisrt time I tried to post it.)

ParticipantThese both seem like good ideas to me. I’ve no idea how much work they would take, though.
…it seemed unlikely that he would publish chapter 3 before chapter 2.
This is true. I rarely make mistakes when counting up to three (or less). 🙂

ParticipantI like these ideas, too, though I also have no idea how hard they’d be to implement.
