It has many of the hallmarks of AI but the kicker is that if you scroll down far enough there’s a section where the author has forgotten to delete some of the chatbot’s responses. I suspect some of their other stories are untagged AI too, but obviously this one is the one with the most proof.

I have messaged the author about this.

Just to restate for anyone unaware. The AI police is all work that uses generative AI should be tagged as AI Written. Generative AI is any AI that choses the individual text used in the story, so using a spell checker or translation software doesn’t need to be disclosed but using a chatbot to generate text or asking a bot to ‘refine’ and change the text of a story should be tagged as AI Written.
If you are unsure you can disclose at the start of the story how AI was used, message on the forums or message either me or the other moderators directly with any questions or clarifications.

I also ask not to witch hunt any stories that look AI written because it is often hard to tell, I know having got it wrong at least a few times.
