Possible to fix email?

So, let’s say someone was in the middle of typing an email with gmail in a private browser, and their cat walked across their keyboard and erased more than half of it. Is there a way to restore previously auto-saved drafts? Ctrl-Z did not work.

Do I just have to start over?

Not an expert, but there’s nothing I can see 🙁 Looks like the ‘draft’ is just a single copy of the latest version, automatically saved whenever you (or your pets) make a change.

Thanks f35h. I figured it was a long shot someone knew something that I couldn’t find. I just started over.

Well, I’m no longer an expert in those things, but what I do in those cases is first write it in word (which does have an auto save) and when finished copy/paste it in email. Don’t think browser have auto save – but as stated, I’m no longer an expert in that.

Marquis, I have done that with other things, usually things where saving isn’t an option, but I don’t like to for my private email, there’s a reason it’s only ever opened in a private browser.
