questionable content?

So I haven’t been on this site a super long time, but I’ve noticed a concerning trend recently. In the past three days alone there are multiple stories (I counted 4, but might have missed some) that either specifically mention a character is underage, or is implied that a character is underage. Now since the purpose of this site is a place for adults to read stories regarding hair fantasies, that’s problematic right? The other concerning part is that two of these stories have the highest amount of likes within the past three days, so people are clearly ok with that type of content.

I know there is an area of the forums to report stories, but this seems like a sitewide conversation that needs to be had. I presume HSN Admin is the only admin, so I get that it’s not possible for one person to police every piece of content, I’m not trying to say that you are doing a bad job. I just want to know where this site and the members stand on this kind of content.

I think I saw some of the stories you’re referring to, and, if it’s any sort of consolation, I don’t think the ‘likes’ had anything to do with the main characters’ ages.

…At least I hope they didn’t. I just assumed they were because the stories involved headshaving, which always gets high support here.

Sometimes consenting adults pretend or fantasize that they are younger than they actually are. Kink, not just hair related, is very very frequently about power dynamics and vulnerability. Age is a way to emphasize power dynamics. If you want to learn more about this, I would recommend checking out Watts The Safeword on youtube, if you scroll down to some of the older videos there is an episode on age play about a year ago. (I actually just recommend this channel in general, I have practiced kink for a while now, but I have learned lots of new things since I discovered this channel a couple of months ago.)

Even is stories where it is very clear that all the characters are consenting adults, they often use language and act in ways that suggest childhood dynamics. For example in Fizzy’s wonderful recent story “The Plunge” and it’s prequel “Rebelion” Roxie will talk to Joanna like Joanna is a child although she is clearly not.

Excerpt from “The Plunge”: “You were such a big girl in that chair today,” she said so sweetly. I hummed the most pleasant tune hearing her praise me like that, and my heart just melted. She noticed that shift in my tone, and her smirk grew. “Do you like that? Being called a big girl?”—-I hummed again, still breathless from her fingers’ venture. “I’m so proud of you. I know it was scary but you were so so brave. My strong, beautiful girl.”

I’ve been know to do the same thing in my stories.

Another thing that plays a part in some of these stories is about processing and reframing things that happened to us in childhood. In my stories this pretty much always takes place as stories about memories from my adult characters, because that’s what works for me, but others may want to do it more directly.

If there are particular stories you feel go beyond this, report them specifically in report a story.

Right I get that kind of dynamic Ginger, I’m glad you brought it up because there are certainly times where that kind of language is used as a power dynamic. I do not believe that to be the case with these stories. These are the four that I have in question along with my perception of them, I’ll let you all be the judge.

Specifically mentions main character is 13 – An Innocent Fascination

These other three don’t specify age, but they all feature characters who are portrayed as young and subservient to their parents wishes. Technically a grey area since it doesn’t specify age, but I think it’d be hard to believe these characters being adult age.

Mom takes the characters for haircuts still, presumably not adults – Boys Hair Cut
Character who gets her head shaved sounds adolescent to me – My wife said to shave our daughter
Character is a foster, so not an adult presumably – The healing cut
