ParticipantHello all
This is to inform everyone about the status of this series. Recently, I had started collaborating with Barbershoptales on this series & we have a whole story line all planned out. Unfortunately, he stopped communicating about 1 1/2 months ago & my emails get kicked back. He also hasn’t visited this site since, either. I am concerned for him, but not much I can do. Anyway, one of the things we discussed was me keeping this story-line going if he ever gave it up. I was reluctant to do so, but it deserves a conclusion. However, I did anticipate anything happening until much later on. At this point I’m a bit stuck & a few chapters away, from where I would want to continue from. So, I’m putting out to this community, Is there anyone that would like to help assist me with this story line? OR others if they strike you better. If so reach out to me & I can see if you’re a good fit. The general rules and the basic plots are already determined so, you’d follow that along, plus we’d discuss your own ideas & try to incorporate them in when possible. You write the story then send it me I look it over & edit it & offer input, then it can be published. More details can be discussed off site. I realize it’s a long shot but there was so much fun good stuff planned for those cheerleaders I’d hate to see their adventures die out.
Thanks

ParticipantI was very excited to see what Katie’s sister, Kelly, and her new roommate were up to after that story in what seemed to be an expanded universe for this series. It’s pretty obvious that Kelly isn’t growing her hair back any time soon. I wonder if Hallie felt the same, and if they had managed to incite (for lack of a better term) any other women in their university to shave their heads. Maybe that story line was already being developed.
(This is also what I said in the comment to your story, just in case you deleted it).

ParticipantI have no intention of deleting the story any time soon. I’m hoping for some more responses & help getting things going. Once/if the next part of the story gets published then I can consider deleting it for continuity purposes. I replied on the story as well, but Kelly & Hattie have not been forgotten. If you have any interest in discussing things further you can message me off site. My email is this user name at Yahoo. If not just know, I have kept track of everything, & am doing my best to keep things going.

ParticipantI might have some ideas for Kelly and Hallie’s story. I’ll need to think a while. Their story is definitely far from done. I’ll think on it a bit, and if I have some notes, I’ll email you. I hope the person behind Barbershoptales is okay. I’ve done collaborative blog posts (outside of our community) with someone who just disappeared, and once I was able to find out what had happened, I ended up doing a lot of mourning. That was ages ago. Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

ParticipantYes, we had been talking & plotting out a lot of this story & some of his others. This story line was really ready to take off. We exchanged a lot of emails, & in my final correspondence I had purposed perhaps moving to a chat or messenger to keep the flow going & we hit a pivotal point in the discussion on one of the characters, which is part of why I’m stuck now. So, I never got a reply, I followed up a few days later & the email bounced back. I share your same concerns & do hope all is OK, but also have gotten into this story so much & it’s in my head, it’s a shame to not see it through. I just wish it had gotten further along. I’m curious to see what you come up with for Kelly & Hallie. There was a plan for them, but because I can’t keep everything going & have different interest levels in the other series, changes may & probably will be made. You’re the only one who has replied to me. The post is getting a lot of likes though, which I find kind of strange & honesty, unhelpful.

ParticipantI have some ideas about Kelly and Hallie. The initial story for them was in Kelly’s first-person voice. I have a follow-up idea that I will need to flesh out. The real challenge is to stay true to the original author’s voice. Once I think I have an idea that will work for me, I’ll contact you. We have time. I agree that the number of likes is strange and unhelpful. You need something tangible now. I am guessing that there are probably a lot of people here who are just grateful that you have picked up the torch for a favorite storyline.

ParticipantYes, & you’ve been the only one to offer anything of actual interest. However, as thankful as I am for it, I still need to keep the main story line in focus. It’s becoming apparent that it will be on me & me alone to get things out. While I have the general plot all set, it’s the actual writing that I’ll need to work on. I’ll be better after this initial chapter, as the following chapter has already been mostly written, & the story has been planned out for years (story time wise) for years to come. Just need to get to that point. The dilemma I’m facing is do I stick with the original plan for what was to happen in this particular chapter & to this particular cheerleader, or do I have the option to switch it up & go in the direction I would choose, even if it sets things on a different path? I want to honor the original plan, but I also acknowledge that if it’s my story now, I should be able to send it in any direction I choose. Also, the perspective (narrator) was going to change at one point, so the question becomes do/can I do that now or do I wait until the end of Volume 1?
