Cyber Barber
ParticipantA trichomancer is a practitioner of magic who uses hair to bind spells to objects. Could be weapons, could even be a saucepan. Hair color decides what kind of spell can be attached. Viable strands that can carry the energy are few and they can only be isolated after the hair has been detached. So he goes around harvesting hair to further his craft.

ParticipantI could see that as a unique D&D class… or even an NPC, for a DM who wants to taunt magical player characters who are especially proud of their hair but need some coin.

Participant“Why don’t you get a quick shearing before you tackle the next room? Your bow string enchantment looks a little weak.”

InactiveI love this idea. I could even see the trichomancer being a common barber no one would suspect to be able to use magic (i.g. everything he uses for his craft is hand-powered). He works with the local blacksmith or artificer to create magical items and even a magic item merchant to sell said items to adventures.
It would be interesting to see one of the adventures accidentally break an item and find out their own hair lol.

ParticipantOf course there’s the Samson analogue as well…someone whose prodigious powers come from having long hair, and then is shorn of it…
