There’s some serious stuff going on here everyone. Log in issue persists, where you are directed to an empty page. Also, Authors and material are being either deleted or lost. Its a real tragedy when one of the site’s best authors has all her material disappear. It too much work to re load it all, so we all lose. I feel especially badly for Stacey Summers who lost all her extensive material and isn’t even listed as an author anymore. What is going on???

I’m not even certain you are aware of this, and perhaps because of the issue she cannot reach out to you, but Stacey Summers lost all of her material here. Every story is gone! She isn’t even listed as an author anymore. In a post on the main site, she reached out, but I don’t even think she can get to the forums anymore.

Just in case this might help … I first started having problems with logging-in approximately one week ago. I didn’t feel the need to immediately report the problem because of HSN Admin posting recent messages about other known problems that were currently being addressed, and apologies made for any temporary inconvenience. Thus, I figured that HSN was already aware of the problem with the site’s Login. Obviously, from what I just learned from you and Stacey today … it sounds like the problem is much more extensive.

Anyway, I sure hope that HSN Admin. or someone with more computer knowledge than myself, can figure our what is going on. In the meantime, I hope there is someway to help capture/restore Stacey’s previous stories and prevent anyone else from being a victim of either a virus, or a malicious act by an individual.

Until then, perhaps everyone should be cautioned about maybe holding off with any new story postings?

Anyway, best of luck with this situation.

Hi, just checking into this thread to say that I’m looking into the issues people are having and will come back with an update in the next 24 hours.

There does seem to have been some data lost from the site between 12th and 13th April. This seems to be coincidental to the work I did on the stability of the site as the database wasn’t touched.

I have daily backups but getting an idea of what exactly happened is my top priority.

Very Good. As I had said in previous posts, it would be a real shame to have lost this work. Stacey is a brilliant writer, and to have lost these works would be a real detriment to the site. I trust you will reestablish her work and look into the log in issue as well. I know, by way of conversations with Ginger that this is not your mainstay, that, as we all do, have real life issues to deal with outside of this wonderful site. I appreciate the time and effort you have put into the site, and I am certain I am not alone in this. I did send the “Stacey Where Are You” posting on the story page to private, so it is not so public. I just wanted to get as many eyes on the problem as possible, and reach out to Stacey in the only Forum she may have had available to her, at the time. Thanks for all you do.

I have been in close contact with Stacey Summers. She is claiming that her profile is gone. She cannot upload anything, not even new material. Surely there must be a way to reinstate her membership. This is such a huge issue. No one is posting any new content, and I’m afraid to even though I have several stories in the works. Whatever you do, reinstating her has to be your highest priority as far as this site is concerned. I’ve given her your direct email, as well as Ginger Herten. I keep looking for her stories to magically reappear, but they haven’t as of yet. She is so upset about this, that I am truly afraid that we are going to lose her. Please…please do something before she gets so discouraged that she just walks away. There are a few core authors on this site, as you know, and Stacey is one of those core authors. Do what you have to do, but get her back on line, please.

Just a quick update on Stacey, the backup I have contains all of her work so it’s not lost. I’m just working on getting it back onto the site today.

Thank you so very much. That is fantastic news! Sorry if I’ve been a bit persistent over this, but I consider Stacey a sister of sorts. She has such great talent as a writer of erotica and I often see myself in her. Thank you again, for all you do.

Btw, still having the log in issue, directing to a blank page, it’s not a huge deal as I can still get in by clicking on the logo, but it used to take me to my dashboard.

Hi Claire, Stacey’s account and posts have been restored. This has taken me quite a lot of time (many hours) but I’m glad to have been able to do this. I work full time and have a young child so I can’t just drop everything to work on this site.

For the record Stacey deleted her own account (by mistake), there is nothing fundamentally wrong with this website and content will not just go missing for no reason. It can be upsetting when there’s accusations about problems which don’t necessarily exist flying about causing panic.

I have made some updates aimed at making the site better going forward which has lead to some people having issues logging in. When I get a little more time I will investigate this.

Thank you. And I was not meaning to minimize your efforts in maintaining the site, far from it. I do very much understand that this is strictly an avocation on your part, and I appreciate that fact wholeheartedly. Let me take this opportunity to apologize to you if I offended you on any level. My concern was strictly the fact that someone as prolific a writer a Stacey would simply disappear. As soon as she communicated to me that she had in fact done this in error, my energies switched to a possible solution and alternative to starting over, from scratch. As far as the log in issue, there’s a work around, so not really a critical problem. Thank you again for spending the time to bring Stacey back. I’m quite certain your efforts will be rewarded with plenty of inventive and evocative work from her. Again, I am sorry, my intention was never to cause a problem, only to get to the bottom of one. Concerning myself, I will continue to contribute to the site with my humble attempts at erotic prose. Here is where I say, I’ll behave now and go back to my cave.

Hi. Could I please thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for coming to my rescue.
I’m afraid I had one of my dumb blonde moments and after being unable to upload a story I took the advice from a website that to deĺeate my account and re register would fix the problem. How wrong that advice turned out to be.
Not only was I upset that I had lost all my work but the thought of losing contact with the friends I had made on HSN was soul destroying.
Could I publicly apologise to everyone for the upset I caused.
Once again thank you to all my friends and HSN admin for coming to me rescue.
I will try to repay you in stories.

Hi All, the login redirect bug should now be solved so when logging into the site you should be redirected to the correct page in the admin.
