What I Like in This Genre

In real life I love long hair on women,and am uncomfortable with the idea of their sacrificing it.
Yet in imagination,I am fascinated by many concepts of women undergoing sacrificial transformations willingly,and the woman going from long hair to none has been among those imagined things for decades…just on the edge of what I could see experiencing with a willing partner since it would reverse itself in time without adverse health consequences.

I like stories where the woman’s change is not driven by anyone’s malice…she is willing,even if it’s as the result of losing a bet,meeting the terms for an inheritance,having to play a role,or other external introductions of the idea to her.She should spend some time smooth bald,with maintenance shaving by herself or a partner,rather than immediately beginning regrowth through stubble and other ugly short stages.If she ultimately becomes permanently bald,that should be a separate,subsequent,experience-informed decision rather than part of the initial shave.
Her hair should be long and beautiful beforehand,but not so much so that its loss feels like the destruction of a national treasure.
As a male I can’t get into “all female cast” scenarios as I feel they exclude me.

The haircut can be the story’s sole fetish event or part of the woman’s transformation in other ways,with varying degrees of realism (the more complex the fantasy is the further from anything I’d want to see in reality,if even possible)…generally I like to see changes be progressive rather than instant,though the long-hair-directly-to-none element is important the attendant psychological changes can be gradual.

I can get into much more but let that be an intro.

Have you thought to write something like you are describing? I’d be interested in reading something you’d come up with.

Thoughts are so much easier than actual writings!…and when I invest mental effort in something it can grow into more than just a haircut story and may become better suited to another medium.(One old story of mine that includes a headshaving was once submitted to a previous haircut story site by a stranger without my permission…it was entered in a “defeminization” story contest,which surprised me since it’s entirely about a woman’s being turned into a sex object with exaggerated feminine attributes).
