A Summer Arrangement
By Shorngirl
The sun was hot on the back of my legs as I stood on the quiet main street of my small town. It wasn’t the first time Phil Vidler had stopped me as I walked by his shop.
“You keep ignoring this Susie, and I won’t have any choice but to settle the issue with the police.” The older man warned. “You have what’s owed to me by the end of the week or I’ll come up with something that you won’t be so comfortable losing.”
“Fine, just don’t call the police. I’ll get the money.” I assured him, tossing my waist-length blonde hair over my shoulder. Phil smirked at the gesture.
“Don’t be flippant with me, Susie Adams. It’s been over a year. I think I’ve been more than patient.” Phil crossed his arms, raising his eyebrows.
I took my cue and crossed the street, away from his piercing stare, looking forward to the rest of the summer. He’d get his money, but on my terms and when I had it. I supposed I should have been more attuned to his threat to ‘punish’ me.
One Year Earlier…
It had been too great a temptation, to be honest. I’d been tasked with escorting my youngest cousin to Phil’s Barbershop, during his visit the previous summer. I was a bit annoyed with the little squirt being foisted off on me.
“Make sure you have him trim it extra close,” I remembered my aunt saying as she and my mother headed off for the mall, and the shopping trip I wished I could have been a part of. I looked at him, his blonde curls just begging for the clippers. For what she wanted, I could just as easily have dragged him into the bathroom and used my father’s beard trimmer on him.
I looked down at him, Billy, the beanpole kid who was a bit taller than his age would recommend. He was eight at the time, but looked every bit of twelve and resented me having to ‘take’ him to the barber’s almost as much as I did.
“Come on kid. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can get back to what we’d rather be doing. Right?” I assured him as he hurried to catch up with me on the uneven sidewalk.
It was a weekday, so the barbershop was empty when we walked in. “No need to take a number. Who’s getting the haircut?”
“Um… him.” I pointed to Billy, a little shocked that the guy would think I would allow him to touch my crowning glory.
He spun the chair he had been sitting in toward my cousin and smiled as he climbed in. “So, what are we doing.?” He asked, looking at me expectantly.
“My aunt said he should have it cut extra short.” I reiterated.
“So, a buzz cut then?” He smirked as he ran his fingers through Billy’s shaggy curls.
“An extra short one, I guess,” I added, as I watched my cousin be enveloped under the red-striped cape.
“Well, we can certainly do that.” Phil smiled, tucking the paper collar over the top of the cape. Billy looked uncomfortable, and I had to sympathize. I imagined how I’d feel if my mother had sentenced me to spend the summer essentially bald. Then again, I was a girl, and that stuff just didn’t happen.
Still, as the whirring clippers did their worst, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of excitement course through me, and for a moment, I imagined it was me in the chair instead of Billy. As his scalp slowly came into view, I ran my fingers up under my locks, my fingernails rasping against my own. “Jesus,” I muttered under my breath. I wondered if my comment had been as silent as I’d hoped, but a knowing look from the barber let me know that he was onto me.
I quickly sobered up, shaking off the odd sensations that were making me just a little wet. As the last of Billy’s hair hit the floor of the shop, I almost laughed at the q-ball he was left with. His light blonde hair was barely a suggestion as he climbed out of the chair, and he couldn’t stop his hand from running over his tonsured head.
“Don’t worry, kid. It’ll grow out by the end of the summer.” The barber’s comment did little to cheer him up. “That’ll be twelve bucks.” He looked at me as he walked up to the register.
I handed him the twenty my aunt had given me that morning, watching as he made change. His cell phone rang, and he disappeared into the back of the shop. The thing was, he left the cash register wide open. Billy had already snuck out of the barbershop, so I was left standing there, with a wad of twenty-dollar bills staring me in the face.
I thrust my hand into the drawer and pocketed a handful of the cash, not thinking about the consequences, quickly exiting the shop, and running to catch up with my cousin.
Of course, it wasn’t until I got home that I realized just how much I had taken. As I counted out the cash, the trouble I’d made for myself slowly began to sink into my bones. In the end, the wad of twenties added up to three hundred and sixty dollars. I was in deep shit.
The days passed, and I stopped wondering if the police would show up at my door, ready to arrest me. I did avoid walking past the barbershop for a while, but eventually, it happened. I was on the opposite side of the street when the familiar voice called out.
“You stop right there, Susie Adams.” He yelled. First of all, he knew my name, so any idea of running from this evaporated immediately. I stopped in my tracks, hearing his footsteps behind me as he crossed the street. “Why did you steal from me, kid?” He asked.
I turned, facing the man for the first time since that fateful day. “I don’t know. It was there so…”
“So, you just figured my hard-earned money was yours for the taking, huh?” He scolded quietly. Nodding mutely, I had nothing to say. Anything I could say would have been useless, anyway. “Well, do you have it?”
The thing was, after three weeks of sitting on the cash, I had finally begun to spend it. It didn’t take very long for the entire amount to be gone. “No,” I answered shortly.
“Well, I suppose you don’t leave me any choice.” He pulled his phone out of his back pocket and I just knew he was calling the cops.
“Please don’t call the police,” I begged. “I’ll get the money.”
He frowned, hesitating before putting his phone back in his pocket. “This is probably a mistake, but I’m going to cut you a break, Susie.”
That was over a year ago. I suppose I couldn’t fault the man for his patience. The thing was, I was an irresponsible teenager, and you give me an inch and I’ll take a mile. That’s exactly what happened.
Now, there was an ultimatum. I had no idea what exactly Phil had meant when he said ‘he’d come up with something’ but I did finally get serious. Three weeks had passed by the time I’d come up with the entire three hundred and sixty dollars. As I approached the shop, it was with a certain sense of relief.
There were three men in the barbershop when I entered, one in the chair, getting his hair cut. “I have your money,” I said, quietly.
“So, you finally showed up. Well, it’s a bit late young lady.” He smirked, glancing at one of the other customers.
“I have your money,” I said, repeating myself.
“Well, maybe I don’t want the money anymore, Susie.” Phil admonished. “Maybe I want what I was discussing with the boys here a few minutes ago.” There were some grumbles of approval from the three men. “What do you say, boys?” There were nods all around, agreeing that he should refuse the money.
“Fine, whatever.” I blustered, turning to leave.
“Just one minute, young lady. If you want to avoid any legal entanglements, I suggest you be back here at ten o’clock, on August, 26th.”
“What? What are you talking about? That’s the weekend before I go to college.” I exclaimed.
“Exactly, Susie Adams.” Phil chortled. “That is when I’ll collect the debt you owe me.” He went back to cutting the man’s hair, garnering a chuckle from the three men, who were privy to something I was ignorant of.
I left the shop to a roar of laughter, and I couldn’t be away from the place soon enough. I tried to imagine what exactly he had planned, but I knew it couldn’t be good for me, or my hair.
The rest of the summer went swimmingly, and I had very nearly forgotten about the impending appointment. I’d dated a couple of boys, but with my usual flare for fucking things up, none of them could tolerate me for very long.
On my eighteenth birthday, I finally decided that somebody was going to get lucky. I had a reputation for being a bit of a prude, and the fact that I was playing hard to get with my dates, only made them more determined than ever to get into my panties.
Marty Wild, one of the boys who seemed to be at my beck and call, was my intended victim, and I wondered if he knew just how lucky he was going to get. There was a carnival in town, and I ran into him on the way through the concession stands.
“Hey, Marty.” I mewled, rubbing my hip against the side of the stand he was playing; some ‘toss-the-ring-around-something’ to win a prize.
“Susie. What do you want?” He smirked, one of his friends not quite believing he was giving me the cold shoulder.
“You want to hang out?” I didn’t want him to think he was going to come away empty-handed, as he had in the past. “My parents are out of town… and,”
“And you want me to believe I’m going to get some?” He chuckled, bouncing the last ring off the post he was aiming at.
I suppose I deserved the attitude, but I turned on the afterburners and snuggled up next to him, rubbing my crotch against his thigh. “It is my eighteenth birthday,” I added.
Apparently, my come-on was enough to have him escort me around the carnival for the rest of the evening, losing his friends after the place started to wind down. He took advantage of the darkness and pulled me behind a food stand, dipping his tongue so far down my throat that I nearly gagged. “Just a taste of things to come, Susie.”
Figuring I had led him on enough, I suggested we head back to my place. Marty didn’t argue, easing me into the passenger seat of his ’69 Charger. “Are you sure they’re out of town?” He asked, seeing my parent’s car in the driveway.
“Won’t be back until Sunday night. Promise.” I crossed my heart, which was nearly exposed from his hand having unbuttoned my top two buttons.
“What about your birthday? They forget, or something?” He asked.
“No, they took me out last night. Pizza, of course.” I assured him. I think he was sincerely worried about being caught. “We’ve got the house to ourselves.” I popped the front door and hipped it open.
I was half-naked before he finally realized that this was actually going to happen. “Jesus, Susie, are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure. Why don’t you take off the rest so there’s no doubt in your mind.” He didn’t waste any time, and I was in my birthday suit, right in the middle of my living room.
We never made it to my bedroom, opting for the sofa. I had him get me off with his tongue, making sure he appreciated the fact that I had just shaved myself bare that afternoon. “Enjoying yourself?” I panted, as I got closer and closer to coming.
“You’re kidding, right?” He sighed, breathlessly. “I’ve been dreaming about this… well, forever.” He sucked my clit into his mouth and swirled one final time before I came so hard, I very nearly soaked him. “God, you’re so hot.”
Kneeling between my legs, he throttled his cock at its base and moved towards my center. Knowing what was coming, I braced myself. I was no stranger to masturbation, but I was still a virgin and not at all naïve. I felt his girth stretch me, the moist walls of my pussy enveloping him to the hilt.
I was grateful he had given me an amazing orgasm ahead of that, because, as I suspected would happen, Marty came after the third or fourth stroke. He screamed as he did, but then as the realization of how fast he had come sunk in, he grew self-conscious. “Jeez, Susie. I’m sorry I came so fast, but just looking at you like that, Oh my god… well…sorry.”
I smiled and patted him on the head. “Why do you think I had you go down on me, silly.” I mused.
“Still, you won’t say anything, right.” He begged. I figured all he would be worried about was a scar on his prowess as a man.
“As long as you don’t say anything about what we did tonight.” I countered. And, so we struck a deal.
We never really talked much after that. I think he was a little put off that I wasn’t looking for a steady boyfriend. Eventually, he stopped asking for a repeat performance.
It was only when I was reminded by way of a phone call, and I had no idea how he got my cell, that the big day was at hand. “Don’t forget about tomorrow, Susie.” Phil gloated. “Ten o’clock. Don’t want to keep your audience waiting.” The phone clicked off.
I stood looking at myself in the mirror, the image of perfection I’d always been told by my admirers. Perhaps a run-in with the law would be a better alternative to whatever Phil had planned. I gave it some serious thought, but then decided that something as nefarious as a criminal record might look bad on a resume.
My parents were still utterly clueless about what had happened that day in Phil’s barbershop; that their charming daughter was nothing but a larcenous fraud. Well, whatever was about to happen was certainly going to open their eyes, at least to the penalty I’d paid for my transgressions. I imagined him taking out his frustrations on my hair, hacking it into some ugly bob or something. God forbid.
Lying and saying I was going out with some friends, I waved to my mother, who was chatting with the neighbor over the hedge. She looked at me strangely, as though she was taking in what she was seeing.
I hadn’t been inside Phil’s since I had attempted to settle my debt, and I didn’t feel any more comfortable about being there then. I knew that Saturdays were usually his busy day, but there certainly seemed to be a crowd gathered inside the plate glass doors.
As I pushed my way inside, there was a raucous cheer from everyone there, as though they had been waiting for me.
“Well, well, right on time for a change.” Phil chortled, as I quickly became the center of attention. Along with a bunch of men I didn’t know, I quickly realized that the room was filled with almost every boy I had dated in the last few years, including Marty Wild, the only one who had had his way with me. “Right this way, Susie.”
There was more applause as I approached Phil’s chair. He really was going to cut my hair, and there was precious little I could do about it. “You know I’m leaving for college in a couple of days,” I said, meekly pleading.
“All the more reason to give you something to remember your hometown by, right boys?” He egged, only to be met with more rambunctious cheering. Everyone seemed to settle in then, as if the lights had just gone down in a movie house. All they needed was some popcorn to make the scene complete.
Phil quickly swung a cape around my shoulders, the scent of aftershave and oil permeating the material. He gathered my hair and cinched the cape tightly around my slender neck, allowing my mane to fall gloriously over the satiny material. “What do you say I get the repayment part over with?” He posed to his silent audience.
He slid a rubber band off his wrist and bound my hair tightly against the base of my skull. It was so tight that I swore I could feel my skin pull uncomfortably along my jawline. I fully expected scissors, so when I heard the ‘pop…whir’ of a set of clippers, I very nearly jumped out of the chair.
I thought I’d surely be sick as the hungry blades bit into the hair at the nape of my neck. The thing was, I didn’t feel that way at all. I thought back to my cousin, and the way I felt as the clippers reduced his curly blonde locks to stubble, and it was all I could do to keep that same arousal at bay.
I could feel the weight of my hair slowly growing less, the short uneven strands falling forward as they were cut free of the ponytail. At that moment I was grateful for the cape because I was certain the men and boys in the shop would be getting even more of a show than they bargained for.
After a minute or so, I felt all the weight fall free, and I watched as Phil held up his trophy. “There! That should more than cover the financials.” He laid my severed hair on the counter at the base of the large mirror; the platinum strands of silk looking so foreign, detached from my head. There was some muffled applause, and I suddenly became extremely aware of every set of eyes witnessing my humiliation. The most painful were Marty’s, who sat like a king in the chair next to mine.
“Not so aloof now, are you, Susie?” Marty commented, to the agreement of the other boys I knew. I looked up at my reflection, shocked by the ragged shock of hair that hung like a used mop from my head.
“Now for the penalty,” Phil exclaimed, switching the clippers back on.
“Penalty? Wait, you cut off my hair. Come on…” My complaints were met with a chorus of boos and jeers.
“Yes, Susie, you’ve paid your debt, now I collect the interest.” Phil insisted. “Of course, I could always call the police.”
I shook my head, but the action was quickly stifled by a firm hand gripping my crown. The whirring grew louder as the gnashing blades slipped into the hair at the top of my forehead. All the arousal I had been feeling was multiplied by ten as I felt the warmth of the metal directly against my scalp. I tried, I really did; but as the telltale moan escaped my lips, it became evident to all that I was more than enjoying the experience.
I could feel the cool air moving over my freshly denuded scalp as the ceiling fan scattered the severed hanks across the floor at everyone’s feet. The mirror should have been my enemy, but was complicit in pushing me closer to the ultimate humiliation. As more and more of my jet white scalp was exposed, I knew that it was only a matter of time before an orgasm would win over my resistance.
The cheers and jaunts grew louder as more and more of my hair fell away, leaving a sheen of silvery stubble behind. Soon my ears began to peek out from under the wispy curtain at the sides, all that remained of my glorious mane. That too was shorn unceremoniously, the clippers arcing over each pale cup as Phil bent them down so as not to nick them.
That was it. That simple action of bowing my ears to lose the last vestige of my hair pushed me over the edge. I did my best to hide it, to keep my mouth closed, but it was futile. As if timing things perfectly, the clippers lifted from my scalp, eliciting a squeal of delight from between my parted lips.
The room fell utterly silent as if they couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed, but then erupted in cheers and laughter, reinforcing my utter humiliation and shame. Now that my arousal had been quenched all that remained was the reality of the situation and all the horrifying nuances of being so completely exposed.
“Alright, boys. We’ve had our fun.” Phil announced. “Go on now, and let me settle up with my ‘customer’.” I almost felt like thanking him, but the notion left me feeling ridiculously small. As the last of them walked out, Phil drew the blinds and flipped the sign on the door. “You know, I may have done you a favor, Susie “Q”.”
I glared at him, hating the name he had coined for me. “You shaved me bald! I was totally humiliated!”
“And yet you seemed to have enjoyed yourself well enough.” He mused, sweeping the cape from around me and exposing the wetness that had seeped through my shorts. “Yes, and here’s the proof.”
I tried hiding my crotch, but it was pointless. I looked at my reflection in the mirror, turning my head and not entirely hating the ‘bald’ look. He laughed. “To be honest, Susie, the look suits you.” I tried my best to hate it; the stark planes of my skull only slightly tempered by my paler than pale skin. I tried, and failed.
Some words were exchanged along with some provisos, and we parted company, amicably. The fact that I would forever be known as a total slut didn’t escape me, but then, I was leaving for college. Maybe this fresh look would set me apart in a new town. To be honest, I was a hit, but for all the wrong reasons.
So, it was with some degree of expectation that I arrived back in town for my first break from classes in November, still missing my classic locks. Much to my parent’s dismay, I had maintained the shorn-to-the-scalp look almost religiously.
I couldn’t wait to show up at Phil’s to show him I had kept my part of the bargain. As I walked through the doors, I was pleased to find him alone, sitting in the very chair where I had been shaved months before, reading a newspaper. He tossed the paper to the counter and stood. “Well, if it isn’t Susie “Q”. Still looking sharp, I see.”
I ran a hand over my sandpaper stubble, fawning for him demurely as I did. “It grew on me.” I kidded. We both laughed.
“And… the rest?” He asked, raising an eyebrow. I knew he was speaking of the other part of our bargain. I looked over my shoulder at the window, the falling snow curtaining the window well enough. I unzipped my jeans and lowered the front along with my panties, exposing my hairless mons, as well as a freshly engraved tattoo.
“You approve?” I asked, remembering the tattoo guy questioning my decision several times before he inked me, wondering if I was crazy. I assured him that I was.
“Never thought you’d actually go through with it.” He stooped close, opened my jeans a bit farther and pulled them over my hips. I was giving him a good show and I was sure he could smell my scent. Phil ran his fingers over the letters, hooking one into my wetness, “Alright, ‘Q-Ball’…, get in the damned chair.”
It’s always a great day when I open HSN and see one of your stories, and of course you never disappoint. My only wish is that it happened every day. Thanks for another great one Claire.
Hi Claire,
Wow I think that was definitely one of the best stories you’ve ever written. I love to read haircut fetish origin stories, and this was amazing! I think you described the scene perfectly when Susie is watching her cousin getting sheared bald. I wouldn’t be surprised about anything adolescent developing a haircut fetish after that! The way you wrote about Susie’s own haircut and embarrassment was also incredible!
You continue to be one of my favorite writers and I can’t express enough how much I appreciate your contributions to this site!
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I wish I had more time to write more material for HSN but I do write when I can. I sincerely love writing this type of fiction; it’s a release of sorts for me. I’ll keep writing as long as there are those who enjoy what I can contribute. ❤️ Claire
Another great story. Here’s hoping Suzie enjoys many more shavings in the future.
If you’re ever interested in collaborating on a piece, let me know.
Another Wonderful story. You are my favorite author. I started recently writing inspired by you. Thank you!
Absolutely amazing, as always.
You’ve crushed it yet again, Claire! Well done as always! You never fail to put out something new and unique even while using a classic HSN trope.
