CONVERTING STEPHANIE

Dani and Liv sat down for dinner at Liv’s favorite Thai restaurant, Liv ordered for the both of them and began too converes. “So where are you originally from Liv” Dani inquired trying to find out more about the woman she just met, and was completely falling head over heels for.

“I was born and raised in Manchester England” Liv answered Dani’s question just as their food arrived.

“Oh wow that’s wild what made you move here to California” Dani asked the one question that Liv was hoping to avoid.

Liv hesitated for a bit before she finally broke her silence answering Dani’s question, “I moved here two and a half years ago with my girlfriend… well ex-girlfriend that is, she’s from here… it didn’t end well between us” Liv explained trying not to go into too much detail.

“Oh Liv I am so sorry I had know idea” Dani gave Liv her

condolences to her situation, “Let’s just enjoy the night” Liv offered. Dani respectfully did as Liv suggested and the pair continued to enjoy their meal and each other’s company.

Dani paid the bill and their night ended back at Liv’s apartment

THREE MONTHS LATER

Dani was out shopping with her best friend Stephanie, they have been best friends since freshman year of high school.

Stephanie has long thick auburn hair with natural sun-kissed highlights that reached just below her shoulder blades.

“What do you think of this top isn’t cute!” Dani asked energetically looking for her friend’s opinion, “It’s really no different than the one you have on, or the thousands of other polos that you currently own” Stephanie replied with mild agitation in her voice commenting on her friends recent radical change in her friends appearance. Dani still sporting the flattop that Liv gave her 3 months ago and has had it regularly maintained since, but Dani was now sporting several ear piercings in each ear and was wearing a white polo shirt with black and red trim paired with a black pleated mini skirt along with 4″ wedge booties, and makeup similar to what Liv had on when she had first met her including the dark purple lipstick to cap it all off.

“Hey are you made me Steph?” Dani questioned with a stunned look on her face as she heard the agitation in her friends voice.

“Oh no I’m sorry Dani… it it’s just that you’ve changed so much in such a short amount of time and I feel like I hardly know my best friend anymore”. Stephanie apologetically confessed to her long time friend.

“Steph I am still me, I just discovered a part me that I didn’t know existed until now” Dani said trying to reassure her friend that she is the same person that she has known for years.

“I know Dani I know again I am sorry I really am, Everything happened so fast and I feel like I am being left behind” Stephanie said sadly, “What do you mean being left behind Steph?” Dani inquired with a puzzled look.

“You have Liv and you’re helping out at her shop in your spare time and we barely hang out anymore, and it’s been a year and a half since Brad and I broke up and I fee alll alone. Stephanie said depressingly as she began to tear up, “Oh Steph I had no idea you’ve been feeling this way” as Dani gave Stephanie a hug to console her.

“You know you’re a always welcome to hang out with us, and you know both Liv and I here for you whenever you need. Dani lending both her and Liv’s support to Stephanie.

“Thanks Dani I really appreciate it” Stephanie said sounding a bit more cheerfull, “I just don’t want too feel like a 3rd wheel is all” Stephanie stated expressing her feelings.

“Well you don’t have too feel like that, when we invite you out it’s because we want you with cause you’re fun to be around” Dani said trying to boost her friends confidence.

“A bunch of us are going out tonight why don’t you join us!!” Dani asked with exuberance in your voice, “Sure I could use a night out” said Stephanie excepting Dani’s invitation.

“THAT’S GREAT!!!” Dani beamed with an overabundance of excitement, “Hey I got too get my hair touched up why don’t you come with me, that way there we will all be together before going out tonight” Dani suggested.

“Sure I got nothing else I have too do today” Stephanie agreed to accompany Dani, “I’ll text Liv and tell her we’re on our way” Dani remarked.

“I still can’t believe you’ve kept that haircut” Stephanie playfully prodded Dani, “You’re just jealous that you don’t have a flattop of your own” Dani teased back, “Yeeeeah right” Stephanie replied sarcastically.

the two of them got in Dani’s car and drove several minutes to Liv’s shop, as they arrived Stephanie a saw the sign for the Vibe-9 hair studio, she always felt uneasy coming here when visiting Dani when she helping Liv out, knowing that her friend had her hair hacked off in this place and feared that she would meet a similar fate one day.

“Hey babe!” Dani said as she and Stephanie entered the shop, “Hey Luv!!, hi Steph” Liv turned and greeted both Dani and Stephanie with delightful joy as she was cashing out a customer, “Why don’t you come have a seat Luv and I’ll clean you up” Liv said to Dani.

As Dani headed towards Liv’s chair she was greeted by Jess and Ryan the other 2 women that worked in the shop that were attending to other clients, “Hey guys” Dani return a friendly reply.

“you can go in the back and get a cup of coffee and have a seat in the waiting area if you would like Steph” Liv offered and gave Stephanie a massive hug, “feel free to make yourself at home” Liv said as Stephanie headed for the office in the back.

“Hi Steph” Ryan greeted Stephanie with a look of hunger as she passed by, which made Stephanie a bit uncomfortable, “Hi Ryan” Stephanie replied as not to be rude. Stephanie knew Ryan sought after her for it wasn’t the first Ryan looked at her in that way, Stephanie just wasn’t sure if she was after her or her hair or possibly both. After several minutes passed by of Stephanie sipping her coffee and occasionally looking up from looking at her phone, Ryan had finished with her current client and cashed her out went back cleaned around her station and called out next.

” Wait what you mean me?” Stephanie question in bewilderment as she looked up and saw that Ryan had the barber chair pointed right at her.

“Yeah you, you’re the only one in the waiting area aren’t you” Ryan shot back with that same look she had before. Stephanie got really nervous at the thought of Ryan getting a hold of her hair.

“I’m just waiting on Dani” Stephanie trying to shoot down Ryan’s efforts to get a hold of her hair, “we have a rule here, if you’re the only one sitting in the waiting area when a chair opens you’re automatically next” said Ryan explaining the house rule to Stephanie, Stephanie looked to Dani and Liv for help with a look of concern.

“Sorry Steph I completely forgot about my own rule” Liv said trying not to smirk at Ryan’s clever ploy for there was no such rule at all, “I think you should do it Steph, it might do you a world of good” Dani coaxed her friend into doing something new that might help her get her out of the funk she’s been in as of late.

Stephanie made her way to Ryan’s chair with trepidation and eased herself into the chair as if it was made of boiling hot water, “Don’t worry I’ll go easy on you” Ryan said with such passion as if she had been longing for this moment her whole life.H ho how s sh short is it going to be?” Stephanie asked barely getting the words out, “Just relax and enjoy the ride” Ryan said seductively as she wasted no time wrapping tissue paper around her neck and caping.

Stephanie could swear that she saw Ryan lick her lips in a seductive motion through the mirror as she snapped the cape tightly around her neck, Ryan then snatched Stephanie’s hair into a ponytail and held it in her hand, then with out warning Ryan chopped it off just above her hand and dropped it right in Stephanie’s lap leaving Stephanie with a rough lob that just barely touched her collarbone.

“Now let’s have some fun shall we!” Ryan said with playful excitement in her voice, as Stephanie just sat there stunned with her mouth gasping over what just happened.

Ryan began to section Stephanie’s hair bringing some of her hair to pinning it on the top of her head leaving the rest to hang down, Ryan picked up her clippers with a custom paint splatter paint scheme with lettering that read shear the sheep and popped a #2 guard on, at this point all eyes were on Stephanie and Ryan.

Ryan then pushed Stephanie’s head down with dominant force and plunged the clippers into the base of Stephanie’s nape, Ryan made quick with the back and sides of Stephanie’s head.

“Looking better already my pet” Ryan commented, Stephanie just sat there in shock as Ryan put down the clippers and un-clipped the rest of Stephanie’s hair took her spray bottle and wet it down, then sectioned her hair once again bringing some of Stephanie’s hair to the front of her face covering her eyes.

Ryan picked up her scissors and comb and cut the hair in the front of Stephanie’s just above her eyebrows giving Stephanie a heavy bang, Ryan then started cutting Stephanie’s hair on her right side to about lip length and gradually cut it shorter towards the back, Ryan then the left side of Stephanie’s hair just above the chin and followed same gradually line she on the opposite side giving Stephanie an asymmetrical bob that just barely exposed the undercut Ryan gave her. ”

Almost done” Ryan stated as she began to blow dry Stephanie’s hair as Stephanie still sat in stunned silence, Ryan finished blowing drying and picked her clippers up once again taking the guard off.

“Hold completely still for me okay my pet” Ryan commanded, a barley audible “O o okay” was all Stephanie could muster.

Ryan took her clippers and just grazed the ends of Stephanie’s hair giving it a more blunt look, “There all finished!!” Ryan announced overjoyed with her work, “What do you think? Ryan asked anticipating Stephanie’s answer as she undid the cape and removed the tissue paper from her neck.

Stephanie slowly leaned towards the mirror and began to inspect her radical new look, “I love it I really love it!!” Stephanie replied energetically with a renewed confidence in her voice.

“How much do I owe you?” Stephanie inquired, “It’s on the house if you’ll be my date tonight” Ryan proposed as she grabbed Stephanie by the back of her hair and forced her tongue down Stephanie’s throat. Stephanie melted in Ryan’s embrace.

“It looks absolutely amazing Steph” Dani commented and everyone else in the shop agreed as Stephanie and Ryan ended their passionate kiss, Stephanie meekly nodded her head yes to Ryan’s proposal.

Dani, Liv, Steph, Ryan and Ashley lock up the shop for the evening and they all headed to Liv’s apartment to get ready for their night out on the town.
