My mom was fed up with my sister’s long hair and wanted her to get it cut as soon as possible. She came to me and asked me to go to the hairdresser with my sister. “It doesn’t matter how, this needs to be done today,” she said.

On the way, I asked my sister how she wanted her hair cut. She said she was thinking of getting a bob, around neck length. I agreed. However, when we arrived at the hairdresser, we found out it was closed. My sister called our mom to let her know, but my mom said, “That hair is getting cut today. Don’t even think about coming home until it’s done!”

After hanging up, my sister told me we’d need to go to the second hairdresser, which was farther away. We headed there, but it was closed too. We asked some people passing by, and they told us all the hairdressers in town were going to be closed for the next five days.

My sister asked me what we were going to do. After thinking for a bit, I said our only option was to go to the barbershop. She was surprised, but since she had no other choice, she reluctantly agreed.

When we got to the barbershop, it was very crowded. She asked if there were any other barbershops nearby, but I told her this was the only one in town. Knowing she couldn’t go home without cutting her hair, she started looking for alternatives. Finally, she suggested that I cut her hair.

I told her I didn’t know how to cut hair, but she said we had no other option. So, we went back into the barbershop and asked for a pair of scissors. The barber said all the scissors were in use but offered us a hair clipper instead. With no other choice, we accepted it and stepped outside.

As I stood there with the clipper in my hand, my sister looked at me nervously and asked how we were going to do this. I hesitated and said, “I’ve never cut hair before, but let’s give it a try. Kneel down.” She followed my instructions, and I turned on the clipper. I tried to cut her hair into a bob, just as she wanted, but I couldn’t do it properly.

When I finished, she stood up and looked at her hair. It was uneven. In a sad voice, she told me it looked terrible. I explained that the clipper wasn’t meant for this kind of haircut. She sighed and asked me to try again, saying it might be easier now that her hair was shorter. This time, she wanted a bob at ear length.

I tried again, but no matter what I did, it came out uneven. When I finished, she looked even more upset. She said I had completely ruined her hair. I reminded her that I had warned her beforehand.

We both stood there silently for a moment before she finally said, “There’s no other choice. You have to cut it shorter. It’s too uneven to leave it like this.” I asked how short she wanted it, and she said to cut it into a pixie. I told her I didn’t know how to do that either. “Then what can you do?” she asked. I told her the only thing I could do was cut it straight and simple. She was disappointed but agreed.

She asked how short I was going to cut it. I admitted I didn’t know how to adjust the clipper, so I went back into the barbershop to ask. The barber, who was still very busy, said he couldn’t give me another clipper and informed me that the one I had only cut to a zero. I was shocked.

When I went back outside and told my sister, tears welled up in her eyes. “What? Am I going to be bald?” she asked. I hesitated but eventually said, “Unfortunately, yes.” She sank to her knees, crying in despair.

Seeing the opportunity, I quickly turned on the clipper and started shaving her head. She was so shocked that she didn’t react at first, and I managed to finish the job quickly. When she stood up, her head was completely shaved.

On the way home, she cried the entire time. When we got back, my mom opened the door and was thrilled to see her. “Oh, finally! You’ve done what I wanted!” she said. My sister, still upset, ran straight to her room without saying a word.
