Late afternoon, in the dimly lit corner of a luxury yet quiet boutique café, the three of them gathered. Celine sat at the table wearing a chic beanie that complemented her short, straight stubble (buzzcut). Across from her sat her mysterious boyfriend, Hector, and Cara, still unable to fully shake the shock wave, her eyes glowing with a complex expression.
After some light opening small talk, Hector took a sip of water from his glass and fixed his gaze directly on Cara. A dangerous, relaxed, yet intensely sharp smile played on his face.
“When Celine came home and I saw her like that,” Hector said, his tone low and hypnotic, “I realized once again what a right decision it was. But the truly mesmerizing part wasn’t that, Cara… Celine told me over the phone how you acted at that exact moment.”
Cara’s hands tightened involuntarily beneath the table. She swallowed, trying to look away, but Hector’s gaze pulled her in like a magnet.
“Your excitement when you picked up that machine, the dark, wild passion that appeared on your face as you cut those long blonde strands…” Hector leaned forward slightly, emphasizing each word. “You weren’t just doing a job, were you, Cara? You unleashed the desire you’ve bottled up inside for years. You’re not just an ordinary stylist; you’re a ‘sacrifice server.’ And most of all… you’ve been yearning to do this to your own hair.”
Cara’s heart began to hammer against her ribcage. She took a deep breath, trying to put on her professional mask, her voice trembling slightly but striving to remain steady:
“You’re wrong, Hector. I’m just a professional stylist fulfilling my clients’ wishes. Yes, dramatic transformations are part of my job, but this… this is just work.”
“Is that so?” Celine interjected, a sharp challenge in her eyes as she slowly removed her beanie to reveal her completely smooth, bare head. “Is that why your hands were shaking, Cara? Is that why you lost your breath as you sent those blonde locks falling to the floor? You satisfied that fetish on my head. But when it’s your turn, you’re terrified.”
Cara clenched her teeth. She had to defend herself, to escape from this dangerous game.
“You don’t understand me,” Cara said, her voice turning a bit sharper. “I’m a hairstylist, this is my image. Shaving my hair off… it destroys my professional identity. The owner of the salon, my boss and also my closest colleague Windy, would never allow such a radical and absurd image change. My clients trust me; this hair is my business card.”
Without losing his composure after hearing Cara’s defense, Hector leaned back with a freezing smile and pulled a small, sealed white envelope out of his black leather wallet. He slid it slowly across the table toward Cara with the tip of his fingers.
“My clients trust me, Windy would never allow it, right Cara?” Hector said. “Open that envelope and see who actually owns the ‘safe haven’ in that shop.”
Cara’s hands were shaking. The photograph she pulled out after tearing the paper had been taken in front of the salon’s framed mirrors.
In the photo was the salon’s owner, Windy. But standing right beside Windy, holding those professional clippers, was Hector himself. Windy’s hair was freshly and flawlessly shaved down to the skin, just like Celine’s.
As the photograph trembled in Cara’s hands, the gears in her mind started turning with a loud roar. She remembered those long locks that would have been impossible to grow out within just a few months. And suddenly, past memories flashed before her eyes like a cinematic reel: It was Windy who had asked her months ago, “Have you ever thought about sacrificing your own hair?” Celine being sent to this salon and straight to her chair on that exact day could never be a coincidence. Windy had known about the secret hunger inside Cara for years and had stepped-by-step orchestrated this massive trap. Believing she was the hunter, Cara was actually the very last prey of this dark club.
At that exact moment, Windy materialized right beside the table under the cafe’s dim lights. As her elegant perfume filled the air, Windy reached out and grasped Cara’s rich, chocolate-brown waves cascading down her back—strands Cara had considered untouchable until that very day. When Cara stiffened with a start, Windy looked straight into her eyes and dropped that dangerous whisper:
“Your hair looked so gorgeous to me today, sweetie. Now that you’ve all met… shall we reshuffle the cards?”
While Windy slowly ran her fingers through Cara’s flawless hair, the innocent expression on her face completely vanished. She leaned in close to Cara’s ear and whispered those blood-curdling words:
“I think you won’t put up much of a fight to save your hair anymore, Cara. I’m dying to run my clippers through those strands, completely wipe out that weight, and dump your hair right into your lap.”
As these words hung in the air, time froze for Cara. Trapped in a rapid sequence where she couldn’t find a single second to escape, the plan was already set: The next morning, right before the shop officially opened, right there in the middle chair of the salon.
With the first light of the next morning, Cara found herself sitting on that black chair in the dim atmosphere of the salon. In the corner, Hector and Celine stood quietly as silent spectators. Cara wore no cape or protective cover; her hands clutched the edges of the chair, trembling. Standing right in front of her, holding those merciless professional clippers, was Windy.
“Are you ready, darling?” Windy asked.
Before Cara could open her mouth to utter a single word, Windy’s hand gripped the back of Cara’s head roughly. The long, soft chocolate-brown locks were forcefully grabbed.
And at that moment, with a metallic click, the clippers sprang to life.
Zrrrt!
The dull, lethal hum of the machine echoed through the small salon. Without wasting a single second, Windy pressed the clippers directly against Cara’s scalp right from the front hairline. With that first, ruthless stroke moving from the forehead to the crown, Cara’s magnificent hair—untouched for centuries—was split straight down the middle. Years of care, upkeep, and perfection were obliterated in less than a tenth of a second.
Dense, thick brown strips spilled down both sides of Cara’s face, piling into her lap and onto the hard wooden floor in heavy masses.
A single hot tear slipped from Cara’s eye; yet this tear was born not just of fear or shock, but of a dizzying, submissive surrender as that deep, forbidden, and obsessive desire finally became reality. As her skin remained bare, the cool morning breeze from behind swept over her scalp, while her lap filled to the brim with the very hair she had been dying to cut with her own hands.
As Windy continued guiding the machine with a savage speed, she leaned in close to her ear:
“See that, Cara? You knew from the very beginning that the end you inflicted on others with your own hands was actually your own inescapable destiny.”
As Cara sat paralyzed in the chair, staring at her completely bare scalp in the mirror, the heavy silence was abruptly broken. Windy suddenly stepped directly between Cara and the mirror, blocking her reflection entirely.
A breathless, wild smile lit up Windy’s face. She reached up, gathering her own thick, natural, luscious chocolate-brown hair with both hands, and pulled the heavy masses forward, letting them cascade over her shoulders and down her chest in a blatant display of long, luxurious perfection.
“My surprise for you isn’t over yet, darling,” Windy whispered with a thrilling, hypnotic edge. She gently stroked her own long locks, looking directly down at Cara. “How about you… would you like to cut these hair off of me next time?”
A wave of dizzying emotional chaos crashed over Cara. Her mind spun between the humiliation of her bare scalp, the betrayal of her closest friend, and a dark, overwhelming surge of excitement. Overwhelmed by the sensory overload, Cara’s body reacted on pure instinct, and she tried to stand up from the chair.
“Whoa, not so fast,” Windy murmured, her hands firmly gripping Cara’s shoulders, pushing her back down into the leather seat with unyielding authority. “Don’t be so impatient. Not today… but very soon, we’re going to plan that one, too.”
At that exact moment, Celine and Hector stepped forward from the corner of the room. Hector’s phone was raised, holding an active camera that captured every angle of Cara’s raw, exposed vulnerability.
“We had to immortalize this unique moment, Cara,” Celine said, her voice dripping with a mix of sweet triumph and dark camaraderie as she stepped closer. “We recorded the entire departure of your hair.”
Hector lowered the camera slightly while Celine reached out, her warm palm pressing down directly onto the top of Cara’s completely slick, freshly shaved head. Celine and Hector’s fingers slowly, deliberately glided across Cara’s bare scalp, tracing the ultimate surrender of the salon’s master stylist.
