Sophie always wanted to be a hairdresser. Ever since her mother took her to the salon, the girl was fascinated with the scene. Her mother had brought her into the salon to have her hair cut into a coconut bob. The girl wasn’t horrified by the amount of hair being chopped off but was in awe by the cutting, the combing, and the cape snugly around her neck.
About two weeks after her haircut, Sophie suddenly thought of something. The girl put her plan into motion. She snuck into her mother’s sewing room and took the sewing scissors from off the table. Next, she snuck into the bathroom and stole a comb and towel. Sophie then stealthily snuck out of the house to go find a victim.
She didn’t have to go far as Sophie found her next door neighbor having a tea party in the backyard. The girl was nice, sweet, and had a head of long, thick, brown hair. Sophie, ever the charmer, convinced the girl that she was the royal hairdresser and that she was there to give the girl a fabulous haircut.
The naïve girl believed every word and allowed Sophie to swaddle her up in the towel. Giddiness rose in Sophie as she couldn’t wait to chop off all of the girl’s hair. It started with some small snips but soon Sophie took off more and more. Her customer slowly put together what was going on but Sophie had the girl under her thumb.
”And that should do it”,Sophie breathed, removing the cape. She started to leave and left her neighbor with a checkered head of hair and stubble. No one really knew what happened to the girl’s hair and she didn’t tell. Sophie would become a hairdresser and have the girl (now a young woman) in her chair from time to time.
