The day after her haircut, Vanda uploaded another video. Using her tried-and-true strategy, she posted a shorter version on TikTok and Instagram, while the longer version was shared on YouTube. The video garnered similar high views as her previous ones, but this time, Vanda didn’t cut her hair solely for the views. She realized she loved having short hair and wanted to experiment with more styles.
For three months, she enjoyed her short haircut, but by then, her hair had grown out so much that it became unmanageable. She decided it was time for a trim and booked another appointment with Réka.
When Vanda walked into Réka’s salon, the two exchanged friendly words:
– So, what are we doing with your hair? Should I make it like last time, or do you want to try something new?
– I was thinking of going really short, but I’ll leave it up to you.
– Alright, then I’ll trim it around the sides and back like last time and cut the top short, but I’ll leave a bit of length.
– Sounds good, let’s do it!
Vanda set up her camera, turned it on, and took a seat in the chair. Réka draped the salon cape over her and carefully combed through her hair. She then clipped the longer sections on top to keep them out of the way. Running her hands through Vanda’s grown-out undercut, Réka remarked:
– Wow, this has grown quite a bit!
– Yeah, it really needed some attention – Vanda replied with a smile.
– Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it – Réka said with a laugh.
The hum of the clippers filled the room as Réka adjusted them to a 1-millimeter setting. Gently, she placed them at the nape of Vanda’s neck and began shaving the hair. As she worked, dark strands of hair fell onto the cape and the floor. Réka moved slowly and methodically, ensuring an even length all around.
Vanda watched herself in the mirror with excitement.
– This feels so good! – she exclaimed, as the clippers glided across her head.
When Réka finished with the clippers, she brushed off the fine hairs from Vanda’s shoulders and neck with a soft brush. Then, she unclipped the top sections of Vanda’s hair and lightly misted it with water. Taking up her scissors, she started cutting the longer strands on top. The scissors moved quickly in her hands, snipping away at Vanda’s already short locks.
– Now it’s really going to be short – Réka commented with a smile as she stepped back to assess her progress.
– That’s the plan! – Vanda replied, laughing.
Within a few minutes, the top of Vanda’s hair was reduced to just 4 centimeters. Réka added a touch of styling mousse, worked it through Vanda’s hair, and combed it back for a sleek, modern look. She then used the brush once more to remove any stray hairs from Vanda’s neck and shoulders, took off the cape, and invited her to look in the mirror.
– Now this is really short! – Vanda said, examining her reflection.
– Yep, I really gave you a close crop, but I think it looks amazing on you! – Réka responded with a grin.
Back home, Vanda and her friend took some photos of her new haircut, which she uploaded to Instagram and TikTok. The posts quickly became popular, earning her lots of praise from her followers once again.
