After Vanda got home, she and her friend took photos and uploaded them to Instagram and TikTok. The video garnered just as many views. Commenters enthusiastically praised Vanda’s new hair. Three months later, Vanda considered visiting Réka again, as her hair had grown quite a bit. Almost every post she made was met with comments telling her to go to the hairdresser. This wasn’t just in the comments; in the mornings, when she woke up with messy hair, her friend often remarked that she was due for a haircut. So, Vanda booked an appointment with Réka.
Vanda arrived at Réka’s salon the next day.
“I see your hair has grown out nicely. What should we do with it?”
“Well, I thought since it was so short last time, this time let’s just buzz it all off.”
“Alright, should I cut it to one length?”
“No, let’s have a bit of a style, but keep it simple and clean.”
“Okay, just sit down, we’ll be quick with this.”
Vanda set up the camera and started recording, then sat in the chair. Réka took out the barber’s cape, then retrieved the hair clippers. She attached the guard, set it to 5 millimeters, turned it on, and began to buzz Vanda’s hair. The short black strands fell to the floor and onto Vanda’s shoulders. After she was done and Vanda’s hair was completely buzzed, she brushed the black strands off Vanda’s shoulders with a soft brush. Then she set the clippers to 1 millimeter, turned them on, and began to trim around Vanda’s already buzzed hair. When she finished, she wiped Vanda’s head with a soft brush, then removed the barber’s cape. Vanda stood up and walked to the mirror, smoothing her buzzed hair.
“Thanks, Réka, it looks great!”
“You’re welcome, it suits you wonderfully!”
