Once upon a time, in a small-town  in Nara Japan, there lived a beautiful long-haired woman at the age of 26 named Yuna. Her hair was so long that it reached her tailbone, and it was her pride and joy. Yuna was well-known in  for her stunning hair, and people would often stop and admire it whenever she walked by. She took great care of her hair, washing it every day with natural ingredients and brushing it gently to avoid any damage.

Yuna had inherited her long hair from her mother, who had also had beautiful long hair. Her mother had passed away when Yuna was just a child, and Yuna’s father had raised her on his own. Her father had always told her how beautiful her hair was and how proud he was of her.

When her father had passed away, Yuna had been left alone in the world. She had no family, no money, and no job. She had been forced to drop out of school and start working odd jobs just to make ends meet.

One day, while wandering the streets of Tokyo, Yuna had stumbled upon Mr. Tanaka’s barber shop. Mr. Tanaka had been a good friend of her father’s, and he had offered Yuna a job as his receptionist.

Yuna had been grateful for the job, and she had worked hard to prove herself to Mr. Tanaka. Over the years, she had become an integral part of the barber shop. She would greet the customers, answer the phone, and keep the shop clean and tidy.

Mr. Tanaka had become like a father to Yuna, and she had grown to love him as her own. He had always been there for her, offering her advice and support whenever she needed it.
One day, while Mr. Tanaka was out for lunch, two salesmen came to the shop to promote their new shampoo and hair oils. Yuna was left in charge of the shop, and she welcomed the two men with a smile.
The salesmen were polite and charming, and they quickly struck up a conversation with Yuna. They asked her about her hair and complimented her on its length and beauty. Yuna felt flattered by their attention and enjoyed talking to them.
As the salesmen continued their pitch, Yuna found herself becoming more and more interested in their products. They showed her how soft and silky her hair could be with their shampoo and oils, and Yuna couldn’t resist trying it out.
At first, the shampoo and oils felt good on her hands, and Yuna was pleased with the results. The salesman suggested that she should try it on her own hair to see how it felt. Yuna hesitated for a moment but then gave in and allowed the salesman to apply the shampoo and oils to her hair.
As the salesman began to massage her scalp, Yuna felt a sense of relaxation spread throughout her body. The other salesman slowly closed the door, and Yuna became uneasy.
She began to realize that she had made a mistake by letting them apply the shampoo and oils to her hair. As they continued to wash her hair, Yuna started to feel trapped and began to struggle.
She called out for help, hoping that someone would hear her, but the salesmen ignored her cries. Yuna tried to break free from their grip, but it was no use. The salesmen seemed to be enjoying the experience and were in no hurry to stop.
The salesmen continued their extreme hair wash, pouring more and more shampoo, conditioner, and oil onto Yuna’s head, all the while massaging it deep into her scalp. The overpowering scent of the products made her feel dizzy and nauseous, and she felt like she couldn’t breathe.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang on the door, and Yuna heard the voice of Mr. Tanaka shouting, “What’s going on in there?”
The salesmen froze for a moment, but then continued their assault on Yuna’s hair as if nothing had happened.
Mr. Tanaka didn’t waste any more time and kicked down the door. He was horrified to see Yuna struggling and the salesmen pouring more and more product onto her head. He immediately called the police, and the salesmen were arrested.
Yuna was left feeling violated and traumatized. She was grateful for Mr. Tanaka’s quick thinking and bravery in rescuing her, but she couldn’t shake off the feeling of disgust and discomfort from the incident.
Over the next few days, Yuna couldn’t help but notice that her hair smelled like the shampoo and oils that the salesmen had used. The smell made her feel sick to her stomach, and she longed to have her old hair back.
Despite this, Yuna tried her best to move on from the incident. She threw away the products that the salesmen had left at the shop and focused on her work.
As the days turned into weeks, Yuna began to notice that many of the male customers at the barbershop seemed to be paying extra attention to her hair. She could see their eyes lingering on her long locks, and it made her feel uncomfortable. Yuna had always taken pride in her hair, but now it felt like a burden.
One evening, after the shop had closed, Mr. Tanaka sat down with Yuna and asked her what was wrong.
Yuna hesitated for a moment before mustering up the courage to speak. “Mr. Tanaka, I don’t feel comfortable with my hair anymore,” she said, looking down at her feet. “It reminds me of what happened with those salesmen.”
Mr. Tanaka listened patiently, his expression grave. “I understand, Yuna,” he said, putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “You’ve been through a lot, and it’s natural to feel that way. But what do you want to do about it?”
Yuna took a deep breath. “I was thinking… maybe I should cut it shorter,” she said. “A pixie cut or a mushroom cut, something that won’t attract so much attention.”
Mr. Tanaka looked at her with surprise. “Cut your hair? But Yuna, your hair is your pride and joy! It’s what sets you apart from everyone else. Why would you want to cut it?”
Yuna took a moment to gather her thoughts. “It’s just… after what happened, I can’t help but feel uncomfortable with it. I don’t want people to stare at me anymore or make me feel like I’m just a hair model. I want to be seen as more than just my hair.”
Mr. Tanaka listened intently, nodding his head in understanding. “I see. Well, I can’t say I’m happy about it, but it’s your hair and your decision. If that’s what you really want, then I’ll support you.”
Yuna felt a weight lifted off her shoulders. She was grateful to have Mr. Tanaka’s support.
Yuna sat down in the barber’s chair, feeling both nervous and excited. Mr. Tanaka first started to wash her bulky hair. She couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness as the water rinsed away the last of the shampoo and oils that still lingered in her hair.
As Mr. Tanaka combed through her hair, Yuna tried to imagine herself with a shorter style. He brushed her long hair an removed all the tangles. He pinned her hair up with a hairclip and He placed a tissue on her neck and covered her body with a long white cape. Yuna was shaking and was nervous thinking its a bad idea.
As Mr. Tanaka noticed Yuna’s nervousness, he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, Yuna. Your hair will still be beautiful, no matter what style you choose,” he said with a smile.
Yuna nodded, taking comfort in Mr. Tanaka’s kind words. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath as Mr. Tanaka started cutting her hair. She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath as Mr. Tanaka started cutting her hair. Mr Tanaka suggest her a chopped pixie which Yuna bit her lips and nodded in agreement.
Mr. Tanaka first gave a ponytail cut, snipping off the long locks of Yuna’s hair in one swift motion. Yuna watched in awe as her hair fell to the ground, her heart racing with anticipation.

Mr. Tanaka began to section her hair into four parts. He sprayed each section with water to make it wet and then carefully gave her an undercut using his clippers. Yuna couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief as the weight of her long hair was removed.
Once Mr. Tanaka finished with the undercut, he started to work on the top section of Yuna’s hair. He began to cut her hair with scissors, Tears rolled over Yuna’s eyes.
Mr. Tanaka noticed the tears in Yuna’s eyes and paused. “Are you okay, Yuna?” he asked gently.
Yuna took a deep breath and wiped away her tears. “Yes, I’m okay. I just…it’s just that my hair was such a big part of me, and now it’s all gone,” she said, her voice shaking.
Mr. Tanaka smiled kindly at her. “It’s just hair, Yuna. It’ll grow back,” he said reassuringly. Yuna nodded, taking comfort in Mr. Tanaka’s words. As he continued to cut her hair, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief.
Mr. Tanaka continued to work on Yuna’s hair, making sure that the cut was even and well-blended. As he worked, he talked to Yuna, reassuring her that she looked beautiful with her new haircut.
Yuna began to relax and let her guard down, listening to Mr. Tanaka’s words of encouragement. She opened her eyes and looked at herself in the mirror, surprised at how different she looked. Her hair was now short, choppy, and asymmetrical, with longer pieces on one side and shorter pieces on the other.
As Mr. Tanaka finished the cut, he blew-dried Yuna’s hair and styled it, showing her different ways to wear it. Yuna felt like a new person with her short hair, and she couldn’t believe how much lighter and freer she felt without the weight of her long hair.
Yuna couldn’t stop running her fingers through her new haircut. It felt liberating to have short hair, and she was excited about the endless possibilities of styling it in different ways. She couldn’t wait to show her friends  her new look.
As she got up from the chair, Mr. Tanaka handed her a small box. “This is a present from me, Yuna. Open it when you get home.”
Curious, Yuna opened the box as soon as she arrived home. Inside was a beautiful hairpin made of jade, with intricate designs that sparkled in the light. She felt a wave of gratitude towards Mr. Tanaka for not only giving her a new haircut but also for the thoughtful gift.

Over the next few weeks, Yuna adjusted to her new hairstyle and found that it was much easier to manage. She no longer spent hours brushing and styling her hair, and she felt free to focus on her studies and her job.
Despite the positive changes, Yuna still missed her long hair sometimes. She had a sentimental attachment to it, and it had been a part of her identity for so long. But she knew that she had made the right decision in cutting it, and she was happy with her new look.
As for her old hair, Mr. Tanaka had hung it up on the wall of the barber shop as a good luck charm. Many customers commented on how beautiful it was, and it had become a conversation starter among the regulars.
Yuna couldn’t believe it. Her hair, which had once been her pride and joy, was now hanging on the wall of Mr. Tanaka’s barber shop.
Yuna was surprised at first, but then she smiled. She realized that her hair, which had caused her so much pain and trauma, had now become a symbol of strength and resilience. It had led her to take a bold step and cut her hair, which had brought her a sense of liberation and freedom.
Yuna continued working with Mr. Tanaka as his receptionist. As the days went by, Yuna grew more and more comfortable with her new hairstyle. She loved how easy it was to maintain, and how it made her feel more confident and empowered.
Despite the initial shock of cutting her hair, Yuna realized that it was a decision that brought positive changes into her life. She was grateful to Mr. Tanaka for helping her make the change and for being a father figure to her when she needed it the most.
The memory of the traumatic experience with the salesmen still lingered, but Yuna found comfort in her new haircut. It was a reminder that she was in control of her own life, and that sometimes a little change could bring a whole lot of positivity.
