Hi all,
just a little “hello”. Since a week I’m out of the hospital. The surgery on March 18th went well, but recovery took way longer than expected as I got an infection with staphylococcus aureus. I call this beast by its latin name, as it almost killed me: It is one of those bacteria that have become resistant to antibiotics.

So only due a lot of luck, and more importantly due my loving wife and family, I survived.

I next 4 months will be full of treatments and rehabilitation, but everybody is positive that I will gain back my strength till Christmas.

Dear colleagues,
due to a medical problem I will be off for the next about 6 to 9 months. Yes, it is serious, but my chances of survival are very, very high. But if I don’t do something, some day this little beast called aneurysm in my breast will kill me one day. So I will have a surgery in about two weeks, and then a period of recovery of several months. I know that it will take time, but … I’ll be back.

I agree, they sound “ai-ish”. Maybe a nice message with the ask to add “ai-supported”, “translated by ai” or something in case the author really used ai to get a little help. And, hey, it is okay to use ai as a helper, but you should be fair and mention it.

About the real high number of likes: I would ask the author about his opinion and ask for support: Something like “giving the normal rate of one like per 50 reads, your number is suprisingly high. This could be a DDoS on our page. Please inform us in case this happens again”….

A reasonable priced yearly subscription would be an idea. The question would be the benefits you could realize with simple effort.

Some ideas:
– Unlimited full text search (aka limiting search for everybody)
– no adverts, no popups, clean browsing
– Higher valued “likes”
– Personal Favs/bookmarks
– access to beta features like “find a similar story” (something you could do with a vector search, just trying it out with a different environment)
– for authors: one month premium for free for every story with more than 100 likes
– for authors: more layout options (maybe more pictures …)

Indeed, his style changed over time, so maybe the stories are “AI assisted”: The author wrote in his native language, and then translated them with an AI based service. There are quite a few very good (expensive) services out there. Or we see the works of last five years pushed out…

I understand the members in the forum saying that the author is pushing others away from the first page.

Is it technically possible to implement a “max stories per week” rule for certain authors? I was thinking about 2 stories per week per author, so it would stretch the problem over time…

Sorry for being offline for quite a while. I had a look at the stories of Articus: I agree with banning him. I had a short chat with him concerning two of his stories containing minors as main characters a while ago. He reacted aggressive, pointing at others, but then made adjustments.

The latest stories are again containing violence against minors. So … second strike.

I marked the stories of the Author Articus as private (“Emma und das Pool-Abenteuer”, “Sophies Verwandlung”). Both stories have minors as main characters and both have erotic elements.
I informed the Author via PM.

I think it is child abuse. It does not play a role that the main actor feels guilty for having done it, the story describes details of a child abuse.

I think we are on a good track with the rules, I’m fine with 2-10 in the above list. (and sorry for only reading for 2 weeks – lot’s to do in my not-online-life…)

Concerning the topic of children and the complex topic how to avoid any potential form of pedophilia, we should maybe mention our intend, like wozziewoo said: Children need protection, and this web page does not support any form of child abuse and pedophilia.

Yes, we tend to want to have clear lines, but to say it in my native language: “nous cherchons midi à quatorze heures” (no idea how to translate it). Maybe we should then clearly define what is allowed, and give examples what is not allowed – so keeping the “allowed” space quite clear, and keeping the grey grey on purpose. And in case something is grey, we tell the author about it and ask him to change it towards the allowed space.

“Allowed” should be IMO only two aspects
– children who are not included in the main plot and act only to describe the surroundings/situation of the main character. (This is how Ginger includes children in her story most of the time)
– children who are triggering a development of the main character, but who don’t have a role in the development that is triggered. (This is also widely used.)

It does not matter IMO if the child is only acting in a flashback of the main character (… “when I was a child” …), or is a separate person. Same rules for all kids.

I don’t think we should discuss on a number. This web page is not a forum to share hair cut instructions. The stories here are intended as fantasies for adults (see “about”). The term “adult” is clear, it includes sexual or fetish fantasies, and by using this page, you agree to this intention of the page. So with posting here you agree that your story is seen as a fantasy for adults.

So it is quite simple from a pure legal standpoint: If you have a story here and it involves a minor, you have crossed a line. And minor is defined not by a consent of people active on the web page, it is defined by law. So just make sure that everybody understands that all people involved in your story are of legal age, and if you need to tell the age for whatever reason, take a number above 21. But: why is a absolute number required?

By the way: In case of somebody is thinking about publishing something that does not comply with the rules, please be aware that this is an open web page. This is not dark web. So representatives of your local law enforcement communities and authorities could be among your readers.

Of course, it is part of our community work here to keep our community proper. So a big thank you to all work that has been done, and please continue to speak up if a story is crossing a line.

I only recently started publishing stories here, but I’m a regular visitor of the site for years – two-three times a week, mainly on weekends. I understand how complex the moderation of this page can be, so I would like also to bring in my language skills (native French, good German, good English, okay’ish Italian). Before saying “yes, I volunteer” I would like to know a bit more about how much work do you expect, and what kind of rules will be established – starting from acceptable content to when using a four-eyes-principle gets involved…
