Sorry it’s been so long since I gave any feed back. All of my health issues, well many of them, decided to act up one after another.

I see you were planning to have gone live already, but were just a bit delayed, so I’m assuming at this point you don’t really want to do a lot. It’s not got every single feature I dreamed of, I assume because it just isn’t practical to do everything I imagined, like the sharable favorite authors list, or the sidebar going away when reading stories (I’m finding it bugs me more than I thought it would once I decided to actually really read all the way through an old favorite,) or a filter option like the old haironfilm site used to have (assuming I’m not the only one who remembers it.)

I figured out how to toggle day mode and night mode and really love that.

Does it have a night/day setting? The background was dark with light text when I looked last night, but today it is a light ecru. I definitely like the ecru, though the black works as a night setting fro some bedtime reading. If it’s a choice between one or the other, I prefer the lighter theme.

I agree with AU that the side bar is fine on the front page, but a bit distracting on pages with stories. I don’t have super strong feelings though, I wouldn’t mourn it going away on the home page, but also could live with it staying on the story pages.

Personal favorite writer lists would be nice, but what I would love even more is publically visible curated libraries. For example, Makeoverlover and I tend to have similar tastes. I would love to be able to look at a list of his favorite authors and stories where there might be somthing I missed. And it’s very much a matter of personal preferecnes and taste, not simply a question of quality. I can see there are plenty of really good writers here who just don’t align to my taste.

It would be extra nice if these member selected collections could include little blurbs. For example, I might want to include Shorngirl’s stories in my personal collection, even though the frequently don’t allign to my usual preferences, and would want to explain that the inclusion is more about a general interest in her writing as a whole more than about it’s hair content (I’m really not into hair removal.)

As someone who ended up writing an actual novel length story, severel novella length stories, but also many quick vignettes, a word count would be good. Sometimes you have a whole rainy day of cancelled plans to stay in and read. Other times, you want a quick bedtime story.

I do wonder if it would be a good time to reconsider catagories? One I have often wished for was something inbetween “forced” and “Consensual,” something that covers the unwanted haircut/shave that isn’t truely forced.

It would be extremely cool to do something like the way the old haironfilm website used to let you sort. Tags let you search, but are rather open ended. A system where you could check off and for example exclude stories that include branding.

You definitely need to ease readers into the change over, people have never been generally happy about change, and in the current climate of corprate enshitification and stuff, people are extra suspicious of change.

I assume that it stops at 2024 because it’s in a testing stage, and that when it goes live it will be up to date.

Tried to do something about the Red Bob inflated like count, but it’s not working. The latest WordPress update seems to have effected my ability to manually adjust like counts.

Even more strange is that sometimes it seems to have over 1,700 likes and other times only a bit over 100. I think which link I follow to the story is the determining factor.

Sorry about this, but there seems to have been an update to WordPress, and I have lost the way I used to be able to change the like count. Not just for Red Bob, I can’t on any stories anymore. Possibly there is a way for me to that I don’t know, but the interface has changed.

I don’t know if this has anything to do with the glitch.

Redbob, I can manually lower counts. I have been reluctant to because I have no way to know what your actual like count should be.

I will just reset it for you, since obviously the glitch is a much bigger issue for you than not keeping however many likes were actually from people. I’m also kind of curious to see whether it will accumulate at a normal pace after I lower it, or if tomorrow it will just jump back up to crazy levels.

They’ve stolen others. They used to use them completely unchanged, and just add the AI voice over and animation, but now they seem to run them through some kind editing to change them enough to make copyright claims harder. Also possibly with the one they stole from me to remove the multiple detailed sex scenes that youtube won’t allow.
