ParticipantI’m not saying they’re bad.
What I’m saying is that I find it rather strange that a story that has been posted yesterday has already garnerd 1.5k views and over 200 likes within the past twenty hours.
Site traffic sure must have heavy…19th December 2025 at 6:58 pm #71699rightdownthemiddle
ParticipantYou’re able to form a coherent sentence, and JOY’s simply not
I don’t want to gatekeep, but I do have to agree with the arguments above. Regardless of whether they use AI or not (I personally don’t think they do), this author posted 16 stories in the past week alone, with only ~500 words each. That’s not quality writing or an streak of inspiration, it’s slop.

ParticipantI’m not a particularly active author here, but I’d still like to add my two cents.
This used to be a website I’d gladly visit every day, hoping for now content; now I hardly visit twice a week and even then only do so reluctantly.
AI “writing” has greatly impaired the quality (and quantity) of the stories, as have authors who’ve made the home page practically unusable.19th March 2025 at 9:59 pm #65851rightdownthemiddle

ParticipantCan we open this discussion again? The other continually posts stories featuring literal minors, all of them with poor spelling, grammar, and an overall lack of quality (or at least polish). I find it hard to believe that they are still the original JimB in any case – or, in the unlikely case that they are, they have completely lost their marbles.

Participant“DAUGHTERS LIKE MOTHERS”, also JimB – seems to feature a 13-year old.

ParticipantI’m pretty torn on this… I, on one hand, don’t want to hamper upstart talent or even condemn AI writing as a tool at all – if assisted writing lowers the bar, that’s great! Hower, I feel like these stories are a form of quick click bait and are not properly marked as AI… aided?

ParticipantAs I recently posted in the comments of the story: I second that.
I hope this current plagiarism trend isn’t here to stay, that’d be a shame for our small community.22nd June 2021 at 10:31 pm #35722rightdownthemiddle
ParticipantI’m with FizzyC here, tbh.
Since Jim claims to have written the story in June 2021, as indicated right on top of this story, and LPHL’s story from deviantart is from 2016… There might as well be a sound explanation here, but that fact alone seems pretty daming to me. (On a minor note, the title “Jessi vist to Aunt Jan” isn’t even grammatically correct, opposed to the deviantart one.)
I don’t mean to throw shade onto JimB, who, as Ginger has rightfully pointed out, is a legend of the community at this time, but justice where justice is due. Just my 5 cents - AuthorPosts
